Julio-

I have retrofitted painted hardbacks on my C2S. Previous owner had them made in Germany by the same guy Opo uses for ~$5700 for 2 (no seat heat). They're gorgeous.

OK, will keep it in mind if I need his contact info for future. Right now enjoying the car as is. What a thrill it has been. Previous owner took immaculate care of it and I am probably more OCD on that! Is any of you coming down for the DRT in a couple of weeks?

Don't mean to hijack the thread but here are a couple pics of the seats being made in Germany

If you search I think there's a thread somewhere on these replacement seats.

Man, they look really good. Is it worth it on resale though? I mean did you have to pay that much extra for the car having the hardback sport seats instead of the regular heated sport? Extra $6k?

Thanks,

OK so getting back to the Iris Blue C2 price topic, how much should it actually be priced at on the private market for that mileage. Give it $10k more for the special interior package. $50k?

I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure this is the car Rudy sold in the last year or so that subsequently failed a PPI by an interested buyer who then passed on it. It's here somewhere in the archives.

Caveat emptor and always get a PPI by an independent mechanic with a knowledge of 993s

That or buy it from a fellow RL, stand up person in conjunction with a proper PPI. I guess I lucked out. Most dealers in Miami that I visited had at least a $20k premium on their offered cars with shady history. I'm very happy with all 3 of my recent purchases. Working my way up to a 993TT silver over red would be my preference. That is Unicorn-ly but let's see what happens in 2018!

The painted hardbacks definitely add value. Not $6K. The belts and calipers are a matter of taste. The Rudy factor might even be a negaitve - Why would guy that collects these like baseball cards sell one?
To me it's a 45K car based on the comps and seat upgrade. JMHO.

$45 is the right price if you ask me. I have a lead for a local (Florida) Tip C2S if anyone is interested. No affiliation just coincided at detailing shop for bra/ceramic coating and spoke to the owner who might sell for the right price. He was looking at my 4S and asked about manual trans feeling. Nothing like it!

I believe Rudy is collecting only wide body cars now. Might be wrong though. I personally like the Rudyfied modifications he does. The dealer is asking way over market value. I think a fair ask would be $49,993.
If everything checks out of course.

He seems to be doing alot more of the Bimmer thing now. He vouched for the condition of the car, I don't see any reason he would have done so if a dealership had it.
