What I should have said was my original ask price was $115k on RL. I lowered my ask to $100k after it sat for a while. Also, the $28k increase isn’t quite accurate. After completing the PPI I spent a great deal of money making the car the best it could be. These costs included 12k in mechanicals and PPI as well as 6k in beautification. So my overall out for the car was exactly $112k which is what it sold for. That being said, after I paid the dealer to sell it for me, the car was a loss for me, however I did recoupe a great deal of my money and I’m ok with that. I know the new owner will be very happy with the car.

Wow! Very nice car but with 55k miles someone overpaid by $25-30k in my opinion.

That particular car is one of very few that Porsche made. The color, option kit, and overall quality, plus all the work I put in I think was fair. The new owner has a turn key car. When I bought the car, it was strong 7 out of 10 and my goal was to make it a 9. I think I accomplished that. That car will continue to be iconic for many reasons and value is a “perception”, so in my eyes it was fair, but in others it may be ridiculous, but that’s what makes this such an interesting hobby. Beauty will always be in the eye of the beholder!

@CWCSVT, All good points. I agree "value" is something that's very subjective. I tend to focus on the bones myself. Yours was a VERY solid car.

Agreed. It all comes down to how does the car present itself, mods and service records.

Soft market.?..yeah right....

Red seatbelts and wear on the seatbelt hanger does not look like 11k miles. but then again I'm not an expert.

Not a 993 targa fan or expert on them, much prefer the 964 targa.. but that seems way overpriced with the miles and gray interior
