another thread has me thinking about how much i miss my 'ol 993 c2 over the other 6 911's i've had.

so i'm thinking of trading my well sorted hi miles 996 turbo for one 993 c2 with lower miles plus cash. or my sister.

but not both.

Well, do you have any photos of your 996 Turbo...or your sister?

As someone who's debating whether to buy a perfect local 996 Turbo or a 993 C2, this helps.

Curious: what makes you miss the 993 versus the 996 Turbo?

Are you aware your sister is on the 996 forum making the same offer, except for 1 slight difference -- that she'd throw in her brother for free including shipping.

One owner, 11k miles, already bid to $65k. This will be an interesting one to watch..

NB Tippy w/ 77k on odo going for $46.25k before auction site fee...
Wow, this means >$50k out the door w/ TTL, which was 6 spd manual territory about a year ago.

NB w/ 77k on odo going for >$66k incl auction site fee; so probably $70k w/ TTL. The price spike continues. I recall a car like this would fetch in the mid-$50k 12mos ago.
The owner was gutsy making this a no reserve bid and was handsomely rewarded (perhaps not too fond of the suggested reserve by BAT -- now this is only my guess -- and if so...; sites like BAT, PCarAuction and Cars & Bids, please take note!!).

The Seller has sold dozens of cars with BAT, the Reserve price is of no concern! Several over $500K, and half are no reserve.

Granted this Pcar was well represented (the hardbacks don't hurt either).

But, anytime one goes no reserve, it's a crapshoot. I would've liked to score this one:

Could easily flip this one immediately and make $5k with zero more into it!

These two will be interesting to watch, not your everyday specimen:

96 C4S originally sold in Jan 19 and relisted again w/ an odo story... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...carrera-4s-39/

95 'twin turbo'... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...e-911-turbo-2/

I don't know where I should ask this, but a very good friend of mine living in the Bay Area, would like to enter the 911 world and is regularly asking me about 911 in general.
I suggested, for his budget and his needs (the way I would like to use the car) to consider a 993, not a garage queen, since his intentions are to use it also for trips with his soul mate, but a very good, honest and well maintained sample of 993.

If I understood it right, correct me if I am wrong, a good 993 narrow body with manual gearbox with his normal average 80k miles is priced more or less between 50 and 60k, while the 4S version is 25 to 30k higher priced, right?

He is looking for real.
Did I post the question I the wrong place, please if it were the case, move this post where it should stay.

nothingbutgt3: those price ranges are about right; and they are suffciently competitive that should enable your buddy to be choosy.
