Description:
Its time to pass 'Moby' to the next owner. I've owned this late model 1995 (no basket handle) Porsche 993 for over 10 years. Took me over 2 years to find this excellent no-stories example. No accidents or bodywork. Always garage kept and never driven in the rain by me. The paintwork, headlights and plastic lenses are bright and shiny. I always handwashed with Zaino Bros products and leather maintained in tip top condition with Leatherique. When not in use the car is stored under a custom Covercraft fitted cover.
Currently just over 34K miles and won't change much. Took the car out for a spin this morning. All electrics fully functional and AC runs cold. Easily passes emissions testing every year indicative of a healthy motor and catalytic converter. These are no longer required in TX and probably many other States as Moby has now achieved classic car status after 25 years.
I am the 4th owner. The car was sold briefly through Colorado Springs Porsche before the PO purchased the car back after 1 year and approx 600 miles. I purchased the 993 from the 2nd owner in May 2010 and over the past 10 years I've averaged ~1K miles per year. UPDATE: 2,330 mile discrepancy that originated in a State Inspection center in 2013 has been rectified now on Autocheck. Reported to Carfax 9/14/20 .
The original owner installed Porsche Speedster RS seats that were fitted with factory sourced leather and the shells painted color coded white. The rails are also original Porsche parts powdercoated black with titanium hardware. Total invested 10+years ago was $8K. The work was done by Autoweave and Group911@aol.com in Denver CO. I also have the original classic grey leather seats in immaculate condition as you'd expect with less than 15K miles on them. There is a not inconsequential ~90lb weight difference between the stock motorized seats and the Speedsters. As found in this 993RS that sold recently for $250K https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...l#post16617325
After many years searching I finally located a set of rare Enkei RC5 Hollow Cast Porsche wheels. These are exceptional nice wheels for the 993 as they have the correct offset without the need for spacers. I believe the 18x10 rears weigh 22lbs, considerably lighter than the 17x9 Cup II's they replaced. The original 17" Cup II's painted white are also included although will need to be repainted or better yet, powdercoated.
Other modifications/upgrades that are easily reversible:
Bilstein HD suspension with Kinematic rear toe adjust and full alignment/ride height etc.
RS steering rack brace
Fister Stage II exhaust (perfect balance of sound for the 993 imo)
Fister black wide oval Ceramachrome exhaust tips
HID lights from Carneval (much better than stock)
Walrod bezel rings (brighten up the dash)
Dynaudio midrange door speaker driver
Sony radio/CD headunit with remote control
Motorsound Airbox (original cover included)
I also have a spare shifter **** and boot in classic grey which I intended to use with the Rothsport shifter. Also included is a 'Porsche' decal for the side of the car that I never installed.
Service records from PO and myself included, two sets of keys and remotes, original window sticker and spare relay. There is a full toolkit, spare, Porsche inflator, even the gloves. There is also a custom made Form-Fit car cover from Covercraft in chocolate fabric and a Porsche battery tender included. Custom made leather bound floor mats in correct Porsche carpet.
Asking $72,000 with stock seats installed and two sets of wheels. Buyer has the option of Speedster RS seats which will be included for an additional cost. Happy to assist with both domestic or international shipping. Please PM with any questions or contact info to discuss in detail.
