Picked up my car today after getting my KW V3 coilovers installed, new front lower control arm bushings, alignment and corner balance done. Wow what a difference, the car feels so good and precise. Handles the bumps so much better. I brought the car home and installed new headlight lenses, and a few other nick nacks. Next in line is the Fister II mufflers and fabspeed X-pipe. Hopefully this weekend.

Very neat installation! Would you also recommend to install the Rennline dead pedal or not?

Regarding the throttle pedal extensions, I am considering buying them in silver because the black paint might wear off eventually when being used (something I notice in one of my car).

I replaced my old Bilstein HD shocks / RoW springs with the MCS 2-ways with reservoir (MCS 2W) / 60 mm main / tender spring package. I use my car for driving enjoyment on public roads, mainly in SE WI. I had grown tired of the "crashiness" of my old shocks, particularly on sharper impact road irregularities (tar strips and the like). I researched various suspension packages, including the Porsche Classics, and settled on the MCS product. I thank those Renn-folks that I had conversations with on their own suspension experience. Steve Weiner, Rennsport Systems, was very, very helpful and has significant experience with MCS products and set-up. I purchased the hardware from Steve and had Perfect Power, Buffalo Grove, IL do the install. PP has been my service provider for the past 7 ior 8 years. Sol Synderman and Team have always provided me with excellent service with good advice.

I could sense the improvement in ride quality in the first couple of blocks of driving my 993 home. It is a significant improvement in ride comfort. No more crashiness. I drove the car another 50 miles yesterday on the highway, country roads, and main streets and confirmed my initial impressions from the ride home after installation. The ride is firm but well-damped. Comfort was not sacrificed for any sloppiness. The initial, harsh impacts that I had with the HDs is gone and replaced by more cushioning - "damped" is the best way I can think to describe matters. Its just a more comfortable ride over all kinds of road imperfections.

In conclusion, I spent good money on the parts and installation, but am very happy with the result. The 993 is considerably more enjoyable to drive. The HDs were an accepted replacement shock some 8-9 years ago, but technology has improved. I'd make the same decision on this product / set up if I had the decision to make over again.

I bought the dead pedal also, I think it will ultimately complete the look.

Yes this is the plastic cap from FDM. I looks really well made and actually does not feel or look plastic. I am very happy with it.

Thanks!

Do you also plan to replace the cedar wood floorboard by the Rennline aluminium one or will you keep the original one?

I am on the fence about the floorboards, but leaning towards doing those. To my knowledge there is no functional benefit for floorboards but they sure do look nice. I have a feeling I will eventually do all the rennline bits at some point. I think the next interior mod will be the rennline shifter to complement the goldenrod and rs shifter already in the car.

Thanks for your feedback. I agree I will probably buy the Rennline floorboard as well. Nice projects and beautiful 993 you have!
