The were made by Prekom. I bought them in a kit from FVD. They seem pretty well made. I'll keep checking them for a while to see if they start to sag.

Replaced an old Alpine with a Blaupunkt Bremen. I really like the way it looks.

Did a bunch of minor maintenance a few weeks back (plugs, caps, rotors, air/fuel filters) and have been chasing little things that have since developed. Had a 2nd cylinder misfire which resolved after reconnecting all plugs and swapping the Conti belts for OEM. Then I had a rough idle which I thought might be linked to MAF so I cleaned that and car ran awesome for a few days before stalling at any deceleration. Thought maybe I didn’t do the idle sequencing long enough so tried again that to no avail. Did some reading which suggested ISV problems. Took the ISV out and it was so clogged it wouldn’t move at all. A few minutes of carb cleaner and some Qtips and we are back in business. Honestly took me longer to reinstall on that rear hose than it did to do anything else.

You might want to consider this, after I changed the spark plug wire set I started the car and pulled one coil lead from a distributor to make sure the other one was all connected properly. Then I reconnected it and pulled the other one. I wanted to verify that I got the #6 upper plug wire all the way on. Turns out I had a brain fart and had the #4 and 5 wires swapped on the upper plugs. Only found it by testing this way and having the engine miss when I was running it only on the one distributor.

Spent a day under the dashboard..... Now the recirculation flap door is working again. Little original plastic clips were damaged and mechanism just flopping about.

My passenger seat was moving really slowly and bogging down. Thought it might be the dreaded seat cable issue, but they were fine. Upon inspecting underneath though, found some frayed wires that must have got caught in the rails somehow. Took out the seat using the special 6 mm hex wrench with pin (from the FOSYSB thread), soldered and wrapped the wires with electrical tape, cleaned up the screws and brushed on the fresh lithium grease and now it moves as smooth as ever so I'm a happy camper.

Finally took delivery of my 1998 C2S and started making some improvements. I installed Bergvill Low/high beam HID/LED kit, also installed Rennline pedals and fire extinguisher. Really loving the car and enjoying every minute driving it and tinkering with it.

Where did you source the new gauge parts? Looks great.

Some SAI maintenance...

SAI pump wire maintenance:
- removed all the insulation on the SAI pump wires that was all cracked (common problem)
- cleaned the bare copper
- replaced with new heat shrink insulation

Also replaced my SAI valve. Should have also picked up the check valve that goes between the pump and SAI valve, as it doesn't hold vacuum so I'm guessing it's shot as well.

Boom Boom^ Can you just remove the SAI system entirely in the state of New Jersey? Obviously I can't living in Cali. I guess I could remove it since I have a 95. But, visually it should be there.

Thanks,

The face dials and speedoglass are from Heiler tachodesign in Germany.
The bezel rings I purchased from FVD brombacher in Germany, but are only available in black.
I purchase 1/4 liter “Porsche stone gray” automotive paint, at a local bodyschop and sprayed them. The fluo paint and uv matt lacquer for the pointers are also from the bodyshop.

Finally got around to installing the Element Fire extinguisher. Five pounds lighter than the 2.5 lb. fire exitinshuisher and roll bar bracket.
