Nice car but bidding already exceeds anything I consider FMV (perhaps mid $40s).

Well, I suppose Fair Market Value is what the actual market will pay. Based on everything I've seen, including this real-time auction, it's not near the mid $40s. That's one quick way to find out what anything is worth, put it on eBay and the world will tell you. A C2 with 15k miles would probably bring mid 40s given all of the high $30s for mid mileage examples. This car will probably hit or may even exceed $60k.

Mid-$40k's, maybe a few years ago. If its as good as it looks I would say $52-57K is the FMV nowadays, even more from one of the higher end dealers. The car being light on options probably keeps the price low on the scale.

Last of the last. With a sold PPI this car will go over $60.

This car has been for sale a number of times. I think another 'lister had a deal on it and found problems and passed. If I recall correctly, the seller told me he wanted $65K for it last year. I'd pay $55K for it given the low options.

Nice car, not many options but it should sell for $65-$68k.

Nice looking low mile car. Shows up as a Miami area FL car until sept 2011 now it's in CA. Just 2700 miles on the car since 2008. Probably just using Ebay to attract a wide audience, looks like he's ever only sold books on Ebay. Can't see this going much more than $55K when you can get comparables from the high end guys for a bit more $$.

I had a similar 98 C2S with tons of options that I sold a few years ago. With the current FMV I'm regretting it now.

I sold my 14,000 mile '97 C2S with low options for $52,500 last year and it took 2 months to sell it...

Looks like the market is strong....FMV is whatever someone is willing to pay.

If I was in the market when you were selling and yours was a US car here in the states, I would have gladly paid you much more! I've seen more than a few lately pay $60k or more for 20k cars... We'll all be interested to see where the bidding ends up.
