If the long hood craze is any indication, I think there will always be a strong market for the 993.

Kind true, kinda not ....^

Without understanding the actual 13 yo ownership service records, independent of the number of owners,,, any 13 yo 911 will require a Major Service; in addition to specific items such as the distributor belt, etc. The age of the vehicle must be factored into the price.

As example. When was the last time the clutch's hydraulic oil curcuit was changed, the distriutor belt, brake fluid, tires replaced because of age?
Stored cars are out of sight out of mind.... and so goes the service needs.

Geezz, long live the 993...!

Maybe Porsche AG should consider a MkII 993 .....
Make mine Arena Red over black leather this go round.......

Is the 991 so different in charactor?...

The thoughts going through my head when I was debating selling my 997.2 for a 993. I figured that if I could find a truly unmolested and pristine low mile car for say mid $50s (appeared to be the number last fall), that it was all the car I ever wanted, it was last of the air-cooled and mostly hand built, it had classic lines, it was a solid long-term car, etc. So, I found just that car with 17k miles on it, it checked out perfectly during the PPI, and when it arrived my Concours judge buddy proclaimed it the nicest example he'd seen since 98 when they were on the showroom floors. So, I traded in my 09, got a big check and a "new" 993 to boot.

So to the point of these selling near what they sold for over a decade ago, I still look at these a value Porsches even though they are up in price from several years ago. The 996 didn't appeal to me, the 964s are hard to find, but the low mile 993s still appear to be out there and many haven't been driven. Time capsule.

They do seem to be moving up market for the low mileage examples.

Please remember, only members may post FS or WTB info. I tried to let the non-member poster know this but the new account did not have PM or email activated.

It’s said that the 993 C2S for MY98 production was limited to 993 units; how cleaver for Porsche AG as they we’re begging US dealers to order cars. “Trunk Money” was offered on the MY98 993C2S cars as I recall having order a MY98 993C2S. Now,,, I have never, ever, heard of a (nonsense) higher value placed on any 993 C2S for its place setting in that production, with the exception for the absolute last production 993 on display at the Porsche AG Museum. The last of the last 993s going to celebrity Jerry Seinfeld rumors are unfounded….

When the $$ numbers are all said and done there continues to be competition in low, to reasonably low mileage 993s in all there model versions. I would venture this particular low mileage 993 will require the better part of $5,000. in a comprehensive effort attending to all service issue’s. The distributor belt is "shouting don't forget me"....
Just my $.02 … GLWS.

As I posted a few above, he's a user and is posting For Sale information, which is a violation of forum rules. There is no way to contact this user because he / she has not activated PM or Email, so the only option is to moderate the thread to remove the violations.
