Big weekend!
Saturday & early Sunday I worked on a few little issues that had cropped up in the first 50 miles or so. The wing needed an adjustment, there were some odd noises over bumps and I may have some vacuum hoses to replace.
My friendly neighbor Tim was bribed with muffins and cheap coffee to lend a hand. Nice car btw. He has the unique ability to fold himself into and out of the rear seats and was able to finally clean the inside of the rear window. We washed the car with a big boars hair brush a toothbrush and a toxic mix of simple green and soap and it was very effective at cutting through the dirt still on the exterior. Encouraged by the results we proceeded to use meguiars aggressive clay. There are a few marred areas now but the finish is smooth and we met our goal of getting things ready for a pro to compound the car. Amazingly, it's a good looking car from 10'. The bumpers and vertical panels are really good. Rinsed the car off and headed for the country!

Heading west we first stopped at the North Bridge in Concord to switch cars. Tim's 997 is sweet! I was amazed at how different the newer car feels too. His is lowered and has a few other toys on it. Stopped a few miles down the road for some photos. My co-pilot loves the new car too. More twisty roads then a healthy blast on 495. It's funny but the throttle pedal isn't sticky anymore...

That is such a great car and needs to be saved. I've been reading your thread from the beginning and the transformation is phenomenal. I can't wait to see more pics.

Mark, the curative power of WOT is nothing short of astounding. My precisely drilled motorsound holes are also pretty cool. I take back all of my comments on how silly they were to charge for holes in the airbox.

WOW! Its amazing the progress you've made on your new toy.I know your son is loving it too.
