As part of the conversion, does 9M strengthen the chasis itself with reinforcements? Or is the increased rigidity due to the suspension upgrades? TIA

Also are the Techart painted flat black or semi-flat? Either way they look awesome....mine are painted gloss black and IMHO look meh

1. yes, 9m installed some special "top secret" reinforcments into the rockers, which gives the chassis extra torsion rigidity. It works really well, quite big difference to the "stock" 993 cabrio, not to mention the older and softer 964 chassis.

2. wheels: i guess it is semi flat. I would call it velvet black. Actually i use the similar Techart wheels on my 993 4S, it's gloss black and IMHO it looks also very good.

Nearly there folks.

Over the last week the speedster hump has been painted, hardened, flatted off and polished.

Door panels fitted, gearknob and handbrake lever detailed and fitted.

Seats nearing completion, backs done this morning, bases were on the bench this afternoon.

Electric systems proving to be the Achilies Heel, HiFi head unit won't talk to the amp so now wiring out the amplifier, after which the ignition switch fails to power up the radio system correctly ....

Hump's underside painted black then fitted before Marc had a fight with the HiFi speaker installation.

If it ever stops raining - and work pressures allow, I must pop over in mine, and see #3!
