Last year we built Graham his groundbreaking Blusuvious:

This year we finished JP's SpeedArena:

The good news is that it's showtime again. From the humble beginnings of a part-converted, low mileage 993 Targa Varioram and 21 boxes of carefully packaged Porsche parts, we're about to start on RP's brand new (yet to be named) Carrera White 9m93 Speedster S.

The donor car arrived late last week, so come Monday we set about finding what we had taken on and immediately tackled the alarm system that was foxing the engine from starting. After seven years of standing around, three hours later we had our first dyno runs from the engine where it posted a very healthy 300hp at the crank, much to the relief of the onlooking owner. That said, it was not before we filled the place with smoke as the residual oil burned out of the exhaust...

Here are the dyno results - which are pretty good for an engine that has not run for 7 years. The engine was tested without an air filter which will make a slight difference to peak numbers, but even so it is a result which justifies the low mileage of the donor car. The rwhp numbers were good as well, no doubt in part due to the hardness of the rubber of the tyres and low weight of the car as tested.

There are no plans to do anything with the engine in terms of modification, the only point of the dyno test was to veryfy the condition of the motor, clear the oil residue from the car, ensure that the oil system & cooler were working. The great news is that it all passed with flying colours so we're now happy to strip the car knowing that everything is exactly as expected.

Please open a shop here in California so I can go broke spending it on you guys and your toys. Please? I promise you the weather here is better, and the women aren't too shabby either.

I love/hate you guys and your amazing creations!

Alas, if it only made financial sense. Would love to get another Porsche shop for fun projects going, especially if it could be partnered with a world-class expert. End of the day in CA, you'd make more money being a cashier at the outlet mall..........

If 9M was anywhere within 1000 miles of here, I'd probably find a convertible 993 and let those genius Limeys have at it.

Hallelujah! Man, I was starting to go through serious build withdrawals! :corn:

Goofball,

Why don't you talk to JP? There's a Californian who's got over the mental block of allowing his car to venture out of the state(s).
;)

Speak of the devil..... :D

There can't be many Yanks who prefer salt on their popcorn, so you could always keep the lads sweet by reliving Take 2 from the extensive photo collection you have whilst waiting for Take 3 to take off??

Top Gun.

More would be great, but SpeedArena will always be the first.
