"Pants" is Manchester slang for "not very good", which in fact it can also be substituted with the word "bobbins". I fear that across the pnd the preference would be to use "sucks" or "suck" instead. For example:

That meal I had last night at the cafe was absolutely bobbins. The spuds were hard and the bangers were disgusting.

Those wheels look pants on that 993, stick to Speedlines on an RS mate.

Anything special on that besides a stock RS rebuild?

Fairly typical really. New set of rings, head rebuild because the valve guides were shot and all six exhaust valves replaced because the originals were lightly bent out of true. Only non-RS part is a pair of RS01 camshafts which were installed on a long time previous build. Other than that it is having a new set of hydraulic followers and a new set of valve retainers because we also found one of them cracked through. As a precaution we have set the cams to spec before optimising the lobe centres on our digital measuring system. We've checked the valve to piston clearance and all seems well, so those bent valves and cracked retainer must have been the result of an over-rev by the previous owner.
