I think of this often. That it's actually a car meant to be rebuilt and driven for a lifetime. Amazing, and very cool.

Bumpers now painted, assembly begins. Rear bumper required a new set of heat shields as the original ones disintegrated; rear reflector/fog light panel supports have to be cleaned and riveted in place before fitting. We'll fit the rear after the engine is rebuilt and installed.

I don't know, that colour is starting to look a little feminine to me.

Looking good, I like the smaller rear spoiler, are you fitting the smaller RS splitter on the front or the CS RSR one?

Owner's preference is the standard RS version, not the Clubsport, so that's what we're fitting.

Glad to report more progress on the RS this week.

The suspension is all together now, so Jack borrowed my set of BBS mags to get the car rolling off the lift to gain access to the interior. Then, aside from Marc getting organised by acquiring new mobile storage racks for all the fasteners and fittings he commonly uses, he's got stuck (sic) into the interior trim by leathering the dash and fitting the lower dash panels. Note all the spring loaded body clamps holding the panels in place whist he adhesive sets.

Anyway, how good do the gold mags look on a blue RS?

We should have the rest of the dash trim and door panels soon so I'll look forward to keeping you posted when they arrive.

So why did the owner want a small wing instead of the Clubsport Spoiler - afterall, it is a Clubsport replica. Looks a little odd....

Simply because he prefers the subtle look of the stock RS spoiler, so who were we to argue?

Odd?? Why? The finished car will look exactly like a standard 993RS with a painted cage.....

Nah., your GT2 is far too lardy for lightweight magnesium wheels.
