Three coats of laquer, left to stand to skin and flow out, now being slow baked to harden.

Paint looks great - though I had no idea that cobalt was soooooo purple!

Marc showed me a sample section of painted bodywork last week. It is slightly different from normal cobolt as he has added his own twist to the standard ingredients, something to do with more modern metallic flakes?! This gives the colour extra depth over the original and a slightly more purple tint without actually changing the base colours!? It looks amazingly deep in the flesh.

Those are some sizeable flakes in that Cobalt Blue. Great job in getting them to all lay correctly.
