Incredible how our 993s enable friendships through RL, the Porsche Club of America, & so many other ways
In 2009 -- my 1st public appearance with 'Speedy' at Colorado's PCA Parade in Keystone, CO -- I was lucky to park next to Randy & his family of enthusiastic Porsche owners.
An added plus was later stumbling upon a photo that Randy posted on the web.
I'd never been to a Parade & had no idea how fun it would be to make friends with him & his family, plus all the other PCAers.
Three years later -- at Utah's PCA Parade Concours, where my 993 received an invitation to the Heritage/Historic display -- Randy & his family made a point to meet again:
I returned from walking around with new RLers & old friends, checking out hundreds of Porsches on the grounds of the UT State Capitol building, to find Randy standing next to Speedy
He & his brother waited over an hour, just in the hopes of crossing paths again! We had a hoot catching up.
I'm still amazed he was so dedicated just to possibly have a mini-'PCA Parade reunion.' Incredible guy, whom it was wonderful seeing again.
And now ... he just sent a superb souvenir! Randy's Salt Lake City photography (click on the image for his high-resolution original):

Jeff Zwart
A fun moment at the PCA Parade, with someone I previously met at a Dana Point, CA, Porsche event:
As he stopped to photograph my 993 in UT, I looked up to see a person I faintly recognized, but a bit nondescript, blending into the crowd. While trying to place who he was, I was surprised to hear myself say, "Jeff?"
...He seemed just as surprised to be recognized.
Always fun to talk to the always humble, & über-skilled Pikes Peak Hill Climb champion, Jeff Zwart!
In addition to racing skill, I respect his artistic eye & filming talent at making some of the industry's best car commercials (including Porsche's).
Very cool to have Jeff stop to admire & photograph a 993. Incredibly cool to find that Jeremy Rosenberger captured "the Zwart" with Speedy (below)
Want more Zwart? Click on the "Porsches on Pikes Peak: Int'l Hill Climb" thread.

at the capitol building's footsteps
I also dig Jeremy Rosenberger's artistic eye:
Lots of good photos of my 993 on-line at the PCA Parade's Heritage/Historic display, but he's the only photog who captured UT's capital dome in the frame

"It's not just the cars, it's the people."
The Porsche Club of America is the largest single marque club in the world.
Its first interest meeting was in 1955, attended by 12 Porsche owners; charter membership began in 1956.
Today PCA includes >100,000 members.
The annual PCA "Parade" is the biggest Porsche Club event of the year: a national convention.
...that has Speedsters

That especially means a lot considering the source, Dean ^^
Always glad to hear from you!
If you haven't checked out ubergeek's SmugMug gallery yet, make sure you do -- great collection of cool colors & cars.
My pics can't compare to Jeremy's or Randy's above images, but below are all the ones of I shot with 'Speedy' anywhere in the frame.
For many more that I captured of other Porsches - including other RLers' - click the "2012 National PCA Parade---Salt Lake City, UT" thread to see em 'all!
From a terrific time with fun folks, in a patriotic, unique & stately setting:
Today was a casual day, the real car events start tomorrow ... in a few short hours with the Concours / Heritage Display / Corral, etc.
I should be cleaning my 993 - or (more importantly) getting together with friends to drink while joking about cleaning cars
...impromptu pix to share first...
Thanks for posting pics Jager.
I led tours of 102 cars on Tuesday (including Hans Peter, Wolfgang, and Ferdinand (Wolfgang's son) Porsche)
Glad you're enjoying the show.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to see them, but I was thrilled to meet some important enthusiasts: RLers!
A blast seeing you again, plus great to meet 911Dave & Blake
...plus more of PCA's leadership.
Speaking of which, here's Leonard Turner, Panorama Magazine's Chief Photographer, stalking & shooting his prey:
Nice meeting you, Jager.
Jager - great meeting you as well! Sorry to stalk you down in the parking garage, but as I was leaving Little America I saw the flash of a guards red 993 Speedster!
Purple Mountain Majesty...
Great shots Jäger .. Speedy looks luscious as usual ..
Thanks, Pope!!!
Looks like you had a great time!
Great pix!
Thanks, Tony!
Fantastic pics... I need to go to this in the future...
Thank you, sir!
How does Traverse City sound in '13, & Monterey, CA in '14?
Thanks for all the pics jager et al.
Great to see.

Due to the historic significance of this GT1, plus who used to drive it, & who now owns it -- I was especially happy my jalopy was invited into the same heritage display.
I stopped everything I when I first pulled into the staging area & saw it ... then was helplessly drawn like a zombie to tell my friend how much I admired his new car
World's largest multi-quote post?

Tried to quote the whole thing to out-do you. Sigh, couldn't do it. Expectedly, CurveLover conquers again!
Well, my favorite car goes without saying - the red one with the low windshield.
Is that a real 917? If so, wow! Never seen a splitter like that on one. I like the secondary window on it too. I love the GT1 - is it owned by Rohr now? Speedy and the GT1 have an unusual similarity - low-roof 993s!
Just noticed the 934..... And I like how the red 356 Speedster is strategically placed.
All these pictures - maybe I'll have to post some more pictures of Speedy too!
Take care!

FrenchT ^^ Great to hear from you! Really appreciate the compliments
Good questions - good material for the next page.
Closing out this page: follow-up to my above mention that both Randy Osgood and Jeff Rosenbergers photographed Speedy at the PCA Parade in Keystone, CO.
From this thread's page five, July 2009:
Randy recently shared the rest of his sweet CO shots with me: his "Porsche Parade '09" gallery, on his SpiritofhwWolf.deviantart.com webpage:
Funny, his following words were on his webpage for years, waiting for me to find ... 'til we crossed paths again at the '12 Parade
More to enjoy: Jeremy Rosenberger's July 2009 photography, from his uberGeek.smugMug.com webpage:
