As requested: Always glad to make the world a more beautiful place, one 993 Speedster at a time. The 'sickness' has already spread to one beautiful blue example.
Good timing ... there have been a few enthusiasts with serious intent to produce another 993 Speedster, but I'm finally confident there'll be a brand new one to read about here soon.

AutoAtlanta's the only convenient source I found that lists nearly all parts & prices, including the soft top.
Porsche may have discontinued many of these, so even the following advertised prices may be speculative.
I started with post #41's basic parts list, combined singles into pairs, & updated the ones with hyperlinks.
Not including 993 rear quarter panel fabrication, dash/frame attachment fab for windshield, etc.:
Speedster conversion parts = ~$30,630.

Then there's the new turbo rear quarters, sills, internal fill in sections.....the list goes on!
Nearly all the parts are still available direct from Porsche in Germany, and alot of the 'new' panels were pressed back in '94 and just sat on the shelf, but the stocks are dwindling and some NLA.
I think we have majority of the parts - lucky finds have helped, but there are less & less bits out there!
964 Speedster Parts
L & R REAR BULKHEAD, INSERTS, BRACKETS, OUTER SCUTTLE COWL, DASHBOARD, 'A' POSTS (HINGE PILLARS) WING JOINING PLATES. REAR BULKHEAD.
Now that little lot will set you back about £2650.00
To make any narrow body car into a wide body car you would need:-
GUSSET PLATES, DOOR STEPS, FRT FENDER JOINING PLATES, REAR QUARTERS, SUPPORTS, PU SUPPORT TUBES
Again this will cost another £2500 or so.
For the 2S look with the split grille,
GRILLES, CENTRE SUPPORT, CLAMP BAR, REINFORCER
Another £200
And then a myriad of small and not so small parts - sundry seals, insulation, carpets, trim pieces the list goes on but adds another £2000 or so.
Then we have the UK VAT at 15% which is about to increase by 2.5% in the New Year - and maybe more as the Govt continue to hash things up! And any discount that you are able to get from the supplying dealer using PCGB or PCA influence etc!
The most important bits, aside the essential 993 Cabrio ;0 , is obtaining the roof & frame, the 'hump', doors (not butchering standard ones please!) and the screen plus surround.
Screens are stocked in Germany - £1500, and the frame is still available at nearly £3000!
Oh nearly forgot - Speedster badge - £18.00
speedster widebodies are very beautiful.
A pitty Porsche didn't build them directly at that time themselves.
What is the current estimation of total value (dollars/euro's) of parts needed to adjust a regular Convertible to a Speedster widebody.
parts:
speedster windscreen
windscreen frame
sun portecting things at windscreen.
doors ( if nowhere to be found, you can adjust regular ones to Speedster specification I believe)
RS doorcards (easily self made)
wheel arches steel (aftermarket?)
narrow body supension to turbo suspension (due to wider body need the other mounting points right)
964 turbo bumper/skirts kit (aftermarket?)
speedster side windows
convertible top for speedster (adjust fron regular convertible?)
speedster plastic part to put roof under (these are made aftermarket)
framework under plastic part to put roof under (custom made?)
2 recaro chairs
(cup mirrors if not already on car)
paint
tons of little things
I estimate you should budget about 20K $ in parts??

The rubber seals around the doors, windows, screen base and clam-shell - there's another £1K

Thank you so much! My 97, 993 C4 Cab is triple black. The car is far from perfect but it's mine! Lol. Only lost half a point on things not requiring new parts in last local concourse. So I figure if I'm going to buy new parts I want to create something relatively unique. What you've done is nothing short of spectacular. Thanks again. Now to go figure out the financials. Hopefully I'll be in a position to start at the beginning of the year.

Congrats on what sounds like a strong showing in the concours. If you're good at keeping a clean machine, that's another reason for a triple black Speedster!

If you're interested in a Speedster hard-top for driver education events, there are a couple of U.S. vendors, but usually just basic fiberglass / fiber-reinforced plastic, like this one on eBay.
A retailer that may offer something structurally reinforced is France's D. Moris: a helpful RLer relayed that Moris offers theirs with an "integrated safety roll bar." (No affiliation.)
I e-mailed you info. Review PCA's rollover protection requirements, then let us know if you pursue D. Moris' top. If so, please post anything here that you find: especially photos of the roll bar itself.

Photos of Speedsters with bars supported by their chassis: "Why don't more cab owners install ROLLBARS? ...not eye-pleasing? ...not OEM?" thread.

I love the new Speedster owner's supplement, which is quirky like mine.
For example, it points out that the owner should get out of the car to open & close the top. Good idea! ...self-critiquing since there are no electric motors in it, just like the lightweight '89 / 964 Speedster top![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Totally agreed. Besides the obvious price reduction, this car positively screams for a set of the 1-piece carbon seats as fitted to the CGT and optional on the Euro 997 GT3 and GT3RS cars. I guess the 2-piece folding buckets introduced in the 997GT2 (and currently available in all 997s) would work too.
