HT993-- What's your 993 part number? There's a very small chance I may know where these are for sale.

I think Strosek and Strosek-type hard tops with no rear quarter wondows are painfully ugly.

Mike-- Ay, mate. Another reason to admire HT993's achievement of getting the factory top.

Strosek does the same no-rear quarter window treatment to their Speedster hardtops. Gemballa, however, has a comparably gorgeous version with three rear windows. No longer made, though -- I asked Heinz. If anyone has a lead on one for sale, please let me know!

HT993 lucked in on that hard top big time! They are like hen's teeth.

I only wish it was easier to swap the tops. I'm spoiled by my Miata and also still have bloody knuckles from trying to reattach my side trannies to convert teh top back to electric operation.

Curve Lover, unfortunately the one you're thinking of is sold. I spoke to them last year and it was already gone. I know, I still see it on their site still. I think the best bet nowadays is D.Moris

Curve Lover: Thanks for this info and the photo - that's the clearest shot I've seen. I can't find a 993 part number on my hardtop, but I guess it must be there somewhere.

The issue I face right now is finding the right seals to complete the installation, since some are missing (compare white and black hardtops in these photos - only the rear window seal is present on the latter). Do any of you guys have an idea what these are (part numbers...), do they come from the cabriolet?

My friendly indie garage is researching the topic and we're confident of working this out, but the hardtop is so rare even Porsche can't help us

The black top is missing the vertical strip at the front of the door frame (probably missing on the other side as well). On the white top the strip looks the same as teh one on teh convertible. Not sure about the lower side seals. I don't think that it would be something common with convertible, but will try to figure it out.

HT & all-- I bet one or both of these are part #s for the hard top: 993 563 901 00 (theoretically $7 - 7,500 USD) & / or 993 563 980 00. Neither shows in the Porsche PET parts catalog I have. If someone can confirm with a screenshot, please do.

Curve Lover: Thanks for the Part# info. My garage is fitting new seals to the hard top later this week, so I've asked them to look for the Part#. I'll post the info to the forum if they find it.

As a test, before ordering more they started just with a standard Cabriolet seal (#99356132100) which is the n/s vertical door window top seal. This seems to fit OK, so the plan now is to try the other Cabriolet seals too. Thanks to Nile13/Mike S. for that suggestion!

HT993, no problem, glad it was the right part. Just curious what these two vertical seals cost, as they are expensive here and get discolored and frayed wit time, so I'd replace mine in the future if I find them for a decent price.

Those are the most uncomfortable Porsche seast that I've ever seen. They have absolutely no forward support at all, people would just slide right out!
