Did you know the imobolizer was an option in 1995 and it is installed differently compared to other years. I understand it is very difficult to remove.

Thanks for the video link.
I just saved it to my hard drive.

The air vents in the middle of the dash only have the "closed" markings on them (white dot) whereas the side vents have both the closed and the open indicators on them (open being a white circle).

Weird. Must have been a cost-saving measure since Porsche was in such dire straits when the car was designed.

TT's have a longer bellhousing, presumably for the larger ring gear as well as the charge piping. Sadly, the engine is indeed set back.

My '97 does not have Varioram cast onto the intake...maybe the plant found some older castings hiding in the corner!

Bmw, e36 model, instrument panel light bulb/base is the same as Porsches. They also come in the 1.2 and 1.5 watts variant. And hey are still in stock and is much cheaper than Porsche's.

If you have a 9, 9, and a 3 in your hand while playing 21 in Vegas, you have a very good hand.

The stunning lines and curves of the 993 were styled by a Briton, not a German.

When the 993 was first introduced to the USA the base price was about $5000 LESS than the previous year's Carrera (964). I've only seen two price reductions since I have been tracking Porsches. The other time was in 1975.

and some partial changes into 96 as well. My car is Mar/06 and it did has the woodruf keyways in the cams, but not the old style chain wheels. I have seen an early 96 with both the old style chainwheels and the keyways, but not locking sprocket. The later 96's/early 97's onwards had the new style chain wheels and camshafts without keyways. I guess its depends on when they ran out of what parts....
