According to the details on Autotrader this 6k miles C2S for $250k is "the last air cooled Porsche that left the factory for North America. Built December 19, 1997 for Jerry Seinfeld". Guess worth something to someone - Tiptronic and all!

Jerry’s was Rivera Blue 1998 C2S was the last 993 Air Cooled to leave the Factory.

I just don't understand how cars like this can sell for so much. I can only assume it's the "fear of missing out" combined with uneducated buyers.

On the flip side I often hear stories of lost dreams from those that haggled and missed an opportunity for seemingly trivial reasons. Fast forward 10-20-30 years from now. Who would you rather be, the guy that overpaid and enjoyed the **** out of this car or one of the others that will only have a story of the one that got away.

lumber is up huge. earlier this week i saw that lumber was up 193% over the previous year.
i just had a deck quoted in cedar and Evergrain - estimates were stupid!!

Home building is up 30% for lumber cost to the home. Freaking ridiculous!

This thread makes me wonder if the $75k agreed value on my 1997 C2 NB is too low now?

Any opinions? 45,000 miles, Arena Red and Classic Gray. ROW M030 and Bilsteins. 18” TT wheels, all the correct mods done in almost 20 years of ownership and all paperwork from day one. Cosmetically as new.

I insure with Heacock so could easily raise my coverage - but to what amount in this crazy market?

Any thoughts appreciated.
