that's the one i want. i've always been a fan of the magenta interiors and cars that are color on color. this one just knocks it out of the park for me. i considered what i would sell to bring that one in.

i mentioned in the auction comments, only magenta sports with painted back could improve that car. what a missed opportunity (looking back) on such a unique car.

for history sake he was asking $90k, I think he left quite a bit of money on the table if it was no stories.. car was sunroof delete, I wrote to him last night as I was stunned to see another ‘97 black sunroof delete C4S. Cashmere sport seats are quite rare as well. He said it left his house on a trailer today. Someone got a great deal, hopefully an enthusiast that is going to put the next 187k miles on it and not a flipper.

Exactly. Asking prices do no not set the market, only public and verifiable sales data.

That being said, not all asking prices are the same.. some are clearly pie in the sky delusions that are obvious to anyone paying attention to the market. An aggregate of "reasonable" asking prices does give some ballpark information. There just aren't that many data points for sales on 100k+ mile cars. Mind you, I have zero intentions of ever selling my car.
