IMO "prices normalizing" would be going back to the fall of 2020.
I don't think you need to go that far- I'd call it a GREAT DD at what is now a fair price in this market.

Fair enough...I think we can both agree that no one in their right mind "plopped down" leveraged cash indiscriminately on a speculative investment with this purchase, expecting it to dramatically go up in value.

What we are both essentially pointing to is someone wanted the car for a purpose, rather than an investment (where folks are insinuating a bubble, that will pop).

150,000 miles, hit in the front, hit in the rear…..a car like this has nothing to do with the market one way or another

Porsche 911 Market Place (I believe Tarek is the moderator?)
1996 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe 2D
WP0AA2995TS321555

$135,000
120k miles...but claims an full rebuild at 115k...

"Extremely rare 1996 C4S 6-speed manual factory widebody coupe, with C4S spoiler, all matching and all original, with a factory Grand Prix white exterior. ONE major engine-out service AT 115k miles, which included a full engine rebuild, car runs, shifts, and drives amazing, the title is clean with only a few owners, LOTS of records, the car has very well cared for, clean/clear title in hand."

I am of the opinion that this is not all that far off the mark...might be about 10% over-priced...no sport seats, no motor sound...and based on pics the bolster will need to be redone (at a minimum)...but, if someone wants an Aero Kit, and the rebuild is legit, this is an interesting driver.

Im selling my 97 C2s Aerokit if anyone is interested. 57 ish k miles, 15-20k worth of work including PSS10 coilers around 2018 with only 2k miles on the car since, paint is unreal and meters perfectly...185k asking if anyone is interested, located in PA and inclined to move quickly if someone is serious. Have the records post 16, but the car is flat out as tight as they get. Will need a fresh fluid change and otherwise should be good to go. Feel free to PM or email direct at bb1162001@Yahoo.com

Went back and saw that the winner of the auction at 205K never followed through with purchase, car sold to next bidder for 170K ???

Probably a more realistic price for that car.

The car wasn’t in the same condition from when you owned it.

If you read back in this thread there is a lot more discussion on it.

That's an insane swing...almost 20% discount, when there were other bidders well above that? I wonder if anyone saw the pictures from earlier in this thread? Also, looks like buyer's remorse for the first guy jumping in early with both feet.

Anyone see this video? Not to say that someone plopped down leveraged cash to buy a 993...but expect prices to soften...and there might be some screaming deals out there on recent models.

I am not a fan of supple leather. Too many wrinkles. Fist thing that catches my eye, even if interior is immaculate. I prefer the tight leather on stnd seats.

Impressive $$ on the S. Never driven and probably won't be driven in the future.

Its a 4S though. Everyone knows they are less desirable than a 2S.
