The demand for these goods is unlikely to decline. In fact, it's likely to increase given scarcity and time. If you also bet that *most* buyers won't need to get liquid on their "investment" if there's a 20% correction, then what you have is a bunch of supply locked up at a high floor. So even though there may be dips in the 993 market, if you have a decent enough time horizon, I think you'll do fine w/r/t appreciation.
Whether or not you value a different alternative for your $125-$150K, is another question. I purchased a new 992 C4S Coupe and a 993 C2S coupe in the last 6 months, within about $25-$30K of each other, and I value them differently. The 992 gives me more overall joy and fun, but I highly value the different ownership experience of the 993 (and I feel like it's a relatively safe store of value).

Well put. As with most things, it depends on one’s time horizon. I plan on keeping and enjoying mine for a while, so near-term value fluctuations are not concerning. Of course, it’s totally different if one is into speculating / flipping or looking to time entry.
Black C2S went for $165k+$5k...and the winner's name is Mcbeer...so there's that. Recent auctions for C2S show the white one with a "bid to" at $142k, the silver that had the questions, and the 16k mi for $200k.
This was a pretty reasonable result, but will it beat the Arena Red?
