Project Limoncella - Restoring 993 into a CUP/RSR 1:1 tribute

A small, but very juicy preview.
Right now I'm trying to put together the resources to organize the presentation of this miracolous 911, because I think she deserves it 110%.
It is a non-profit presentation event, it could potentially become a charity event, it would be totally dedicated to the coming back from afterlife of Limoncella and to the people who have loved and still love her nd the message she is carrying within, as well as those many who have found inspiration/motivation in the project and those who simply ran into and somehow couldn't do other way than stay close to her.
Probably the best way it would be that of some crowd funding aimed at organising the debut/presentation event and promoting the message inherent in the project itself: once again, as with the car, I am finding myself in totally unexplored terrain.
I thank the lord for always giving me new stimuli and thus for being placed in the awkward but very prolific situation of having to find a way to do something very difficult, being motivated by my love for this car, but perhaps even more by what I am progressively realized it meant to me and it does to me and to many of you out there. I hope to be able to juggle in the middle of a jungle that from what little I've seen, is probably more full of pitfalls and dead ends than what was experienced in car restoration.
I hope you will forgive me if it will take the time it takes, moreover without the active help genuinely offered by players in the sector, should it take 3 years to do it myself, it will take 3 years.
I would have liked to reach out to a global platform, my first choice being the BBC, as global as the interest in Limoncella is, as global as the help and advices received (and sometimes even the NOS spare parts from enthusiasts who decided to give them away for what they probably considered to be a noble cause), for the moment it seems like a truly impossible mission to even get in touch with their editorial team, let's see if tomorrow brings advice.
On the other side I have no idea if there are other television/mass media channels able to offer worldwide reach-out ability: if you know any, please let me know.
I raise the cup to your health, thanking you, for the simple fact that you exist.
Cheers, alla salute!

This is a top ten thread, one of my personal faves and I thank you for the time it takes to update us each time.
I have zero real knowledge of creating media and such, but I consume a lot of it!
I'm terms of content and delivery, Henry is my goto man and I could see (in my head) the episode where your wonderful story would be told, and told well with the credit that it deserves.

Maybe someone with an online account (insta, X etc) could send Henry the link to this thread to entice him....

We could eventually also hang out for dinner, at some very good and traditional tuscan trattoria/restaurant...but only if Ed is agreeing

We could organize the visit on friday 29 afternoon and then, also accordingly to your scheduled programs, hang out for dinner; what do you think?

For those following this thread~ Paolo and I have been corresponding via What's App this past 2 weeks or so. We are meeting Friday in Pistoia to see Limoncella then going to dinner in Montecatini! Paolo has awesome recommendations on restaurants and I can't tell you how happy I am to connect Porsche fans from around the globe!
I am certainly NOT a social media person- and have no desire to make this into anything more than a really cool meeting between 993 lovers! I'll post pics ! and thank you Paolo for everything- we'll see you in a couple days!!

We’ve got dinner with Paolo and some of his family on the 5th! We leave for Venice on 10/2, after I drive 600+ miles home from Rennsport on 10/1….I hope my body survives the wear and tear. 🫤 The only hope I have is that we have REALLY good seats on the planes to Venice and from Milan 😎

Well we are back from Tuscany. What an outstanding trip- short- but packed with great sights, meals and meeting up with Paulo and Limoncella! To say this car is magnificent is a massive understatement. It is truly perfect. No expense was spared and it is as tight or tighter than a new 993. Every element of the car has been meticulously thought through and it shows everywhere. door seals, panel alignment, the polycarbonate rear windows to the carbon fiber panels and braking system- all are fabulously done. The shop where Paulo is building the car is also quite impressive! there were a couple of other P-cars in the shop including Paulo's silver 993 (he has to scavenge the Recaro seat out of it to drive Limoncello until the new seats arrive). Paulo, you were an outstanding host and we thank you for all of your suggestions on site-seeing and restaurants! Only wish we had more time to meet your sculptor friend- but we will be back and I will stay in touch. Here's a few pics!

That color! Fantastic! For some reason I thought it was more pastel yellow. Looks more like the infamous grello!

I've finally got the chance to go visit the Jacob laboratory here in Pietrasanta, where many artists decided to move permanently.
My sculptor friend Jacob Cartwright
In his opinion Limoncella represents a different expression of art, but still art.

Now I am working on a daily base looking for the right collaboration in order to present Limoncella to the worldwide audience she has, I know gratitude has never been very popular, but WHO CARES!
I also know that if it was for the common Porsche super enthusiasts this car had to be pressed into a metal cube...and that the parent company didn't really care...so why should we?
