After 10 months in the shop…. Finally got the car back……..with a 4.0L and brand new RS gearbox. Couldn’t be happier.

That's a DREAM motor. Any dyno specs to share? Didn't see them in the thread- sorry if I missed them.

I have the parts for the 3.8…. Jeff is a really good salesman! Went in to upgrade my gearbox from aftermarket gears to Genuine RS gears and ended up with a 4.0L too.

the car is making around 400hp with this set up. I could unlock more hp with a GT3 exhaust but decided to keep the stock look.

Awesome!! Care to share what ratios you went with for the 4.0 transmission?

That is fantastic, what great numbers - congratulations!

Can you share what you had done to the engine?

Hi Erik,

Just wanted to let you know that I had the same problem with the PSS10 kit, rear was ok but the front didn't go low enough.
After a little research I found out that FVD makes a collar kit that could lower the car another 4cm.

RS uprights would have been nice, but they are on back order and BBI's are a little too expensive in my opinion. Also, uprights aren't necessary for a street car. ERP bump steer kit was enough, but to really get down to RS height you need JRZ or KW coilovers as PSS10's don't let you lower the car enough. Something I learned on my last build.

EricEric, what an amazing project. What is a reasonable budget for a conversion like this including the donor car?

actually 80k would not even pay for the motor.

For the 4.0? Parts/labor. Then again, you might have some more unique stuff than I thought. This was based off of JAN20 pricing.

would be cool to see the list (no pricing) on what Jeff does with the 4.0.
