992.2 Info

no dealership can take a 992.2 order. Many are making lists and taking deposits for people who want to be in the front of the line once they can place orders. But nobody knows when that will be, what if any price increases will be included, what colors and option packages will be available, etc...

Porsche marketing has done a great job convincing people that the t is somehow a “special” or “limited” car so people are willing to spend tons of money specifying them to the gills.

Alternative view is that Porsche gives you a really great bundle price for all the performance options that you'd want on a base anyway, without forcing you into S or GTS money.

Your assumption is that everyone buys a stripper and everyone wants all the standard “performance options” that are bundled or forced on you with a T. I would not get several of those “wanted” performance options on a base or an S if I ordered one. Your argument only makes sense if you buy a stripper T which is the way to go as Malba 2366 and others have mentioned. I would rather have a base with a MT and a very few specific options I want than a T with bundled options…….. some which are good in my opinion and some….well not so much.

it may be a good value in default configuration, but not when you spec it out into s/gts pricing territory.

Ive refused 2 allocation offers on .1 as I want a .2 and my dealer had no problem and assures me Im still #1....whatever that means.
I know that after 5 years, the list for .1's is probably pretty accurate yet not naive enough to not think there is still going to be a shadow list for .2 initially.

I feel like all the folks that are #1 on their dealer's list are on Rennlist. Never heard anyone being #2.

There might be some truth to that in my case....I got call when the Nov allocations dropped. Im waiting on a 4s which they did not get but they did offer me T and GTS slot for Feb.

I just came back from our dealer here is Saudi Arabia
They confirmed to me that they will start accepting orderes for 992.2 late march or early may the latest.
And of course they told me I will be #1 🤣
He also confirmed it will be S, 4S and Turbo first
And the turbo only will be hybrid
