Anyone know the exact weights of the front and rear 20/21” classic wheels?
The ones pictured are the Carrera S wheels...
Here is the order of weight: Heaviest: RS Spyder
Next Heaviest: Carrera Classics
Second Lightest: Carrera S (Pictured): Weight with Tires mounted front 45lbs, rears 50lbs Lightest: Carrera Exclusive forged wheels

thanks I changed the title. Do you know the weight without the tires?
I believe without Rubber, the front rims are just under 24lbs and the rear are close to 29lbs... but this is based on research I did from other rennlisters and other forums recently... I didnt find an exact measurement from Porsche. They might be a little lighter.

most 911 wheels are around 32 lbs for the 21s and 27lbs for the 20s. The Carrara S wheels are likely very close to these numbers. Low 20s weight is forged wheel territory.

got any sources for that? I thought the RS spyders were lighter, since they are most likely flow formed and not cast like the others
There’s got to be someone on this forum who knows the exact weight of the Carrera S wheels. So many options out there for lightweight wheels but need to know current weights first.

I'm on the same boat. I've ordered a T with Carrera S wheels and I'm shopping for forged wheels but need to have a baseline as I'm being quoted weights in the 25F 28R range for foraged, which seems heavy. I'll add datapoints I've found but hopefully someone has weighed the 992 OEM wheels and chime in.
This was sent to me via PM by a vendor here: "Yes the widths are the same as OE however weigh about 4-5lbs less per wheel (24f/30r). The RS Spyder is one of the heavier designs as it is technically a 20 spoke wheel."
So we can estimate RS Spyders to weigh ~28/9 lbs front and ~34/5 rear. Delta between heaviest and lightest OEM wheels might be no more than 2/3 lbs.

Based on all the above, my guess is that 992 Carrera S wheels are going to be in the range of 27F and 33R. Hopefully someone can verify by actually weighing the wheels.

Thanks for posting these data points. I checked some tire websites and the fronts weigh about 24 lbs for the pzero’s so 25-27 lbs seems to be the rough estimate. However, would love to see someone weigh these bad boys.

I plan to weigh my Carrera S wheels soon after getting my car in June. In the meantime, our estimates overlap. However, with the GT3 fronts which are .5 wider but forged and weigh just over 22lbs., I still think that the number for fronts on the Carrera S is closer to the 27lb range.
stupid question but here goes: Why exactly are you so obsessed with unsprung weight? Unless you are a professional racer, I'd bet my last dollar you will never, ever feel the difference between the heaviest and lightest wheel and why obsess over it? You're going to choose a wheel based on weight alone? How about appearance? I'm a hard core driver and these are minutiae I'll never waste my time or effort worrying about.

That’s you. Every individual is different on what they want. Why are you assuming everyone should be like you?
And yes, I would absolutely bet you your last dollar.
