Default 20" Carrera S Vs Carrera Sport wheel weights?

Well... it looks like I have one of the last Carrera T builds for 2019! Whoo hoo! Just deciding on wheels and I've gone back and forth between the two options.

Does anyone know the weight differences between the two?

Now leaning towards the Carrera S...

TIA (Thanks in advance).

Did you ever figure out the weights of both these wheels? Facing the same decision/ question.

Not to be a know it all, but as a seasoned track guy, who ran forged Volks on my GT3 for years, IMHO, all/most Porsche OEM wheels are heavy as boat anchors. Unless you go with forged lightweight wheels, even on track, you won't feel any butt dyno improvement, or reduced lap times. Just pick your style choice. Yes, it could be argued a 1 lb drop "matters" but only a significant 5-10 lb drop is worth choosing low weight over style. Just my .2 cents.

Someone weighed them around this time last year, if I remember correctly. I think the S wheels were light enough on each corner to make a difference.

Yeah, the difference most likely is not much - which one are you leaning toward? Color? And car color? Just curious...get what YOU like best. I have Satin Black S wheels and I love the look, which I picked over the centerlocks on my GTS. Here are a couple pics: before & after PCCBs:

That is fair enough!! No, i am not that interested in after market wheels - and will pick an OEM wheel.

As for style, I have the S wheels, and am looking for a changed look for the extra set... therefore I just ordered the Sport wheels. They will be great, I love the look

And. Having just spent some good amount of time washing the S wheels over the weekend, i will look forward too for the 5-spokes!

Those "S" wheels look perfect on your T, which I would have considered myself if that finish were offered but since my GTS has so much Black trim the Black wheels are probably best.

Right... I’ll weigh them both when I get the new set. I’ll use lighter wheel with the summer tires in the summer... and the heavier set with the All Season (Bridgestone AS) tires for the winter.

Found it...

https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1007...l-weights.html

Carrera Sport: 49.5 lbs F and 60 lbs R with P Zeros and TPMS

So, 1.5 to 2 lbs per corner difference in unsprung weight and rotating mass. I'll be surprised if the car will let you tell the difference and they look great!

I have Carrera S wheels. Rears are 30-31 lbs without tires. Tires like the P zero add 30-31 lbs more. That is why I put HRE R101 LWs on my car. Rears weigh under 20 lbs! That is 10 lbs lighter for the rears per wheel. You can feel that.

I would have never guessed the Carrera S wheels were that heavy. I assumed 25lbs. TY

SS above is correct.
Porsche wheels, with Pirelli P zeros and sensors, FA 48.5 - 49 lbs; RA 60 - 60.5 lbs (confirmed by weighing mine).

HRE R101 Light Weight Forged : FA 16.5 lbs (wheel) + 24 lbs (tire) = 40.5 lbs; RA 19.6 lbs (wheel) + 30 lbs (tire)= 49.6 lbs total That is an 8 lb saving in the front and an 11 lb saving in the rear with HRE LWs over the Porsche "S" wheels.
