Tirerack lists tires weights for most of the tires they sell.
Rounded to the nearest pound, so they have your tires as 24 & 30 lb.

Yes, a good info source. They list P Zero N1 rear at 30 lbs also. My partially worn rear takeoffs weight 29.2 and 28.6 lbs. My very worn front tires weight about 2 lbs less than the listing.

Kudos for Porsche to ask the BBS to produced a light wheel for us.

if you see other wheel weight:

https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265756

even the BBS 19 from the link, seems heavy!!

in any case, I'm in the middle of upgrading my wheels and i don't want to be too much heavier than factory setup. That being said, I've no idea what is a good tolerance to be acceptable either. 1lb? 2lb?

If you want light wheels, get Carbon Fiber ones - be prepared to get out your wallet, though. Also PCCB brakes take quite a bit of unsprung weight off the wheel.

I checked Carbon Revolution wheels for 991, and there is a slight reduction: Front 16.6 vs. 23.7 for BBS PE002 (~7 lbs/corner savings); Rear 19.5 vs. 28.5 for BBS PE003 (~9 lbs/corner savings). To complete the analysis, would need to know the delta between Iron 350 mm rotors for front and 330 mm rotors rear compared to the PCCB rotors. I suspect that what you are gaining from the carbon wheels, you are giving up in added weight from the Iron brake rotors. Also, the Carbon Revolution wheels are 19-inch, so not quite Apples-to-Apples comparo.

20-inch carbon wheels + PCCB would be the ultimate un-sprung weight reduction solution. Any sources for 20-inch carbon wheels in 9-inch and 12-inch width? Even 8.5 and 11.5 inch width would work.

We've got Carbon barrel options from Forgeline as well as HRE's R101 Lightweights that are the most lightweight custom forged aluminum wheels on the market. Third on the lightweight list is of course the BBS FI-R's. We've got info on all of these for those interested.

My car came with Sport Design II wheels. Before I got them refinished and taken all the hardware off I weighed them on a pretty accurate scale. The following weights are for the bare wheel with the TPMS sensor and center cap:
Front
8.5Jx20H2ET51
9913621613288Z
25.4ibs

Rear
11Jx20H2ET52
9913621663388Z
31.3lbs

somewhere, I saw some OEM wheels are forged processed and made by BBS, is this true on your wheel?

I believe they are made by BBS but I don’t think they’re forged. I now have a set of BBS FI-Rs on the car that are forged and they are considerably lighter than these Sport Design IIs. Though I do really like the look of the Sport Designs.
