Gotcha. My understanding though is that these will actually fully open the flaps regardless of engine state, whereas PSE fluctuates how open the valves are.
it will. but there seems to be 2 different ways the valves function on the 992.2. Everyone with the base says that the vlaves function like the .1 and rpm. however a few of us with S models have verified that when the car is in sport the valves are always open when the car is warm. to play it safe i would just let the car warm and throw it in sport and look in the pipe. if the valve isnt fully open install it. or if you plan to drive in normal all the time. install it

just before you install it. let it get warm and idle in sport mode. if the vlaves are open return the car graphic. if the arent put it on. seems base and S have different behaviors
Ewwww, huge chance of burning your hands or arms installing the valve controller with hot cats. 😖
992.2 guys, thanks for sharing all of this. I took delivery of a 992.2 T last Friday. It's currently in the shop getting PPF/ceramic/tints, scheduled to come back home Monday. I have the cargraphic controller at home waiting to install. I was beginning to wonder if I was imagining things when cold starting in Sport / Sport Plus rendered no fun starts, but then a minute or two later the exhaust would come to life! I've also read that even with PSE, the exhaust flap varies in how much it opens depending on throttle input and engine speed. I'm expecting this unit to fully open the flaps at all times. I wonder if you can control them with the engine off to open the flaps before turning the engine over on cold starts.
@arsenal55 Just curious if you've had a chance to install the valve controller yet and if you noticed any differences compared to stock. On my stock 992.2, I notice that the exhaust valves open after a couple minutes and wanted to know if there was any additional sound left to gain by adding an exhaust valve controller. Thanks!

the valve controller allows everything to be open all the time, my valves are essentially locked in the open state, even when the car is off. The 992.2 doesn't actuate depending on RPM's, it's open or closed based on the PSE button and some timer on start, I want to say the blue engine warming light is related here. I kept the controller because I'm too lazy to take it off and I like the louder cold start.
Hey all. Just an update here hopefully to be of use to people. I have a 992.2 T (so PSE) for reference with Soul sport cats. I installed the cargraphic the day the cats got installed, and within like 24 hours, I was throwing CELs (bad exhaust valve). With the help of a local independent shop and my own OBD scanner, Soul, and Flat 6 (sold the controller), we all figured out it was a bad unit from Cargraphic. Flat 6 mailed a new one out, and it's installed as of Friday. Took the car out often over the weekend, and so far so good. To be clear, there are 2 modes. Mode A puts the flaps open fully regardless of whatever settings you have. Mode B merely puts the flaps on the stock settings. In other words, to fully close the flaps outright and always, you need Mode B and PSE off. I like it for cold starts but I get it's not everyone's cup of tea. Frankly, I've seen myself driving more often in Mode B. In some instances when I wanna hear it rip, Mode A.
Hope this helps. The unit works. FWIW, Flat 6 and Cargraphic said their new units have a firmware update to account for the .2.
Hey guys, I see some of you have had trouble with Homelink functionality. I am having reception problems I think. The homelike actuation only works inside my garage(I'm thinking signal bounces off walls) when Im out on the road, it works maybe 5% of the time (the supplied remote works every time). Has anyone had this problem? If so what did you do about it? I'm using the new flimsy plastic mount supplied by flat 6. It is mounted right behind the oil fill cap per their instructions.

Just installed the Kies controller a couple of hours ago and had similar issues on my 25 T cab. I put the Kies open on link button two and that was working consistently in the garage. I put OEM on button three and it was inconsistent in the garage. Both buttons were inconsistent while driving. Kies mounts on the passenger side via 3M tape, but the .2 engine layout is different, so I had to find a different spot to mount it. But, it was still within 3" or so of the .1 location they used. I'm not sure there is anything that can be done. I'm taking it out tomorrow for a drive and will play with it more.

Your location is right above the alternator which creates electromagnetic interference. I suggest that you move the Cargraphics Controller to the passenger side and mount it to the housing as shown in the image below;

It is, yet due to its location being closer to the cargraphics unit, with less metal in-between, the signal gets through. Plus the Home link uses a directional antenna sending a stronger signal forward, versus towards the rear. The supplied hand held transmitter has an omnidirectional antenna, which sends its signal in all directions.
