got a killer deal on the GTS turbos, install happens on the 20th.

killer enough deal, that if i wanted to upgrade to the PT800, it would still be cheaper than buying the PT800s outright, and id still have my stock base turbos to go back in if i ever wanted to go back to true stock.

 

wow, im on low boost tune and the car is already violent. cant wait for M engineering to hit me with the higher boost tune.

 

Im kinda doing the same thing on my 992 T , just bought the m engineering suite from flat six , IPE titanium exhaust and race cats . After that have option to do the pure turbos . But do I really want that much? I did also install some wider Turbo S wheels which will help .

 

ok, M Engineering is back from Holiday time off and sent me a updated tune this morning after sending them logs with their low boost tune to gauge where im at with the GTS turbos on my base. Cold PS4S tires dont get traction til 3rd lol. Is this how a tuned GTS feels power wise? if so, wow, awesome. Can't wait to learn how to drive what seems like a brand new car again. upgraded pads next lol.

 

Honestly, in my 992S with M Engineering tune, even with my lowly 91 octane ACN stage 1 tune, if the temps drop to about 60 or lower, I get no traction through 1st and 2nd so that sounds about right. I was thinking of trying their E85 tune, but I didn't see any point to it as the car is pretty damn fast and dangerous as is. Maybe I'll give the E85 tune a try in the summer where I can definitely use the cooling effect of E85 and the traction is easily 2x better than now.

 

Cup 2's +10mm wider give a lot more mechanical grip/traction.

 

im on 305 ps4s, likely will go to cup2s next. i wonder how the 335 ps4s on my other set will fare lol.

 

Do you have any of the “engine shuttering” feeling out the tune? I’ve read about others having it and feel like I have it as well. Feels like the car is vibrating some in the rear now.

I have a tune (APR) on my base with similar results though I assumed that part of the traction issue was the open diff.

None. Is this at idle, during WOT, or crusing or all of the above?

 

yup I’m on stg2 C2S (same as gts turbos) 93 along with the pdk tune (which I can’t recommend enough) so around 610ish hp at the crank… it definitely slips a little on 2nd but very manageable. I barely wot but whenever I do it’s one hell of a rush. The stock C2S is a bit slow on pulls so this stage makes it super car territory now. Heck even beat a R8 v10+ and a 991.2 tts with power pack lol. Also have 305 PS4S. Waiting for the PSS5’s to come out and switch. Cup2’s would be worse on the street since they don’t have any available traction cold, have to be warmed up everytime. Track wise tho definitely the way to go.

 

Sorry for the delay in response but wanted some more driving time. It was doing it at random RPM’s and speeds but felt like it was lugging or vibrating some. I read about engines shudder from some on another thread and it felt similar.

I think it’s worked itself out. Felt like the transmission was relearning new power and shift patterns and feels right now. Car sounds incredible and the power…. love the power. Def think I’ll add the Pure Turbo 800’s or 900’s soon.
