Correct, stock S turbos for now but will do either PT 800’s or 900’s. I do not want to do meth injection tho so probably 800’s.

Hi Jon,
Did you leave the active spoiler mechanism intact? Any CEL after installing the Moshammer ducktail?

No, it turns the vehicle into a fixed wing, you will need to code it for a Sport Aero kit wing at a dealer or independent shop (with PIWIS) and no errors after that.

looks great, will or can you test if the wing hinders IC performance?

We don't plan to do any extensive testing. It actually has larger air inlets than a Sport Aero wing so it should feed more air and be more efficient at speed. It's an improvement on the factory/standard wing from an intercooler air supply perspective. They actually spent some time designing it for that purpose. Performance is paramount for our build, we wouldn't sacrifice it for a look.

Looks absolutely fantastic. But Mattchow asks an excellent question. I agree with your comment about the larger air inlet when factory spoiler is retracted. However, I question whether that is also true when the factory spoiler is extended. As the factory spoiler opens it allows progressively greater air through the intercoolers. In fact, most intercooler experts such as do88 suggest opening your factory wing fully at all times while on track or in autoX to improve air flow. The air flow reduction could be further compounded by having the standard rear bumper as opposed to the sport design rear bumper that allows greater air flow over the intercoolers.

This is a topic that is often discussed when talking about aftermarket spoilers. From the looks of it the Moshammer spoilers have as much or more air ducting that the OEM Aerokit...so, I would not be concerned at all. I am also a bit unsure why it is not an issue when you race/X-cross and everytime you slow down in curves (and often after a hard acceleration) the Aero retracts, i.e. suddenly less air flow when it is needed the most?

Because you can override the controls in the PCM and fully extend the spoiler for all times at all speeds which is what is recommended on track and in autoX.

@Flat6Motorworks does the Moshammer Duckbill spoiler fit on a Targa?

I dont think I know how to..or don't have that option on my 2020...or do you mean it stays up when manual lifted once?

Probably not if you have a wing/aerokit. I think that is my point.

so @Flat6Motorsports can you post the PIWIS process on how to code the spoiler? Would probably help A LOT of people out.

On my 2021 S, when I had the stock retractable wing, if I manually lifted the wing, it would stay up until I lowered it. It remained raised even when I shut the car off and when I restarted it.
