I have been away from this forum because I have just about given up on getting a 992 any time soon. I started looking in August 2021 and my local dealer wanted a 15k ADM (on 120k MSRP!!!) but I managed to find another dealer that was willing to take my order demand for no ADM.

Months went by without hearing anything from the dealer and I'm not one to be a pest either.

However, this morning - out of the blue - I received an email stating that my March allocation had come through and was I ready to proceed with the purchase. All my discussions with this dealer have been at MSRP and I hope that they are maintaining their word. I replied in the affirmative to their email and I will follow up with a phone call tomorrow. If they keep their word then it might be a sign that the market is changing - or at least there are still people out there at MSRP. We will see.

What dealer are you using? I'm in SoCal and everyone is talking a 20k+ ADM for a GTS Targa. Who is your salesperson?

Thanks in advance!

Default Been waiting on a GTS allocation since 2/21

I’m also in SoCal, and I’m experiencing similar issues with ADMs.

McKenna Porsche took a deposit from me in February 2021 for a GTS allocation. I was told I was the “second on the list.” Apparently that’s a common deposit farming scam. They still don’t have an allocation for me and claim that I will have to agree to an ADM of $25k.

So beyond frustrated.

The market isn’t changing. You have just found a dealer that seems to be less concerned with extracting every dollar of profit and a bit more concerned with forging a solid relationship. Kudos to them.

Seems like out of state at smaller dealers is where you're seeing MSRP. Only caveat is:

a) probably only selling to locals
b) allocations are much harder to come by

The SoCal market is saturated with too many "show offs" willing to pay $100k over for a G Wagon and whatever else is popular on Instagram.

Waiting on a C2S Cab. I would have taken a base but I want a stick. Dealer did say he has a feeling from the inside that they may go back and offer stick in base for 2023 but who knows.
gave the deposit on Jan 30, no ADM. Dealer also will not take an allocation order for someone outside of their local market at this time. Like everyone else the dealer has no idea what they will be allocated but I am next in line for that model, i know this means nothing but it gives me a little hope.
for all those who have had multiple 911's over the years is there one option that you say, I HAVE to have that or damn i really should have gotten that, etc, i am not talking about things like alt stitching, something that matters
on a 992, sports chrono (which on a manual you get anyway) and if 2WD the large gas tank. Bargain of the Porsche century.

First post ever here.

I am allegedly first on the allocation list at my local dealer for a C4. I was there to look at colors in person on other non-911 models (Lava Orange and Gentian Blue).
Anyhow, my SA stated that they have NOT heard about February allocation, yet.

I was made aware of a few allocations available at a SoCal dealer....PM me if you're serious and interested...no skin in it for me except goodwill:

992 C2 Coupé : $10k ADM

992 4 GTS Coupé : $25k ADM

It's preferred that you're local...If you're in SoCal, there might be a tiny bit of room on these ADMs (perhaps subtract $2.5-5k)...If you're out-of-state, he may not want to do a deal, but if he does, there's definitely no room on ADM. I was surprised to hear he had a 4 GTS Coupé and not a RWD Coupé available given the CA climate. The ADM on the Base seems kinda reasonable, whatever that means anymore!

Any news from this latest dealer interaction?
Do you think there were any reasons you were not successful with previous (how many) dealers?

Per my SA, their "Feb" allocations were pushed "closer to/into March". This means any hope of one for me puts it at the end of the 2022 production run which then has me thinking, just wait a month til April when P announces the 2023 models and get in line for the shiner object of a "new" model year build. Yes, i get it will likely cost more but if I cant afford a 3% increase then I shouldnt be buying the car and P will add something, they always do.
