Get SPASM and for the love of God, pay the extra for the leather seats/dash/upper doors/lower doors/etc. It truly does improve the feel of the cabin and makes it feel like a 100k+ car rather than having it feel like an entry level 45k E90 3 Series.

 

I have been on the "the list" for an allocation since May 2021.

Dealer reached out and indicated that if i wanted to keep the Allocation, I would have to agree to a ADM of 25k.

I declined.

My bet is that by September of this year, things will have worked themselves enough to where ADM will not be as much as a common thing. But under current market conditions, "it's take it or leave it". To be clear, i believe in supply and demand, and don't fault the dealer. It is what it is.

Looking like a 2024 model realistically. (Order summer 2023 the way it looks)

By the time i get it, it would be half a decade nearly. (ordered Dec. 2019, Canceled in March 2020 due to you know, May 2021 on the list, Declined Feb 2022)

 

I hope that deposit is "refundable"

Are you saying your dealer called you and said "we've received our February allocations and we have 1 for the model you've been waiting for but if you want that allocation, it now comes with a $25K ADM"?

 

That’s exactly what I got from it. I’ve heard of dealers around me asking $20k over sticker on a C2S.

 

This is crazy, I am at MSRP and I asked many times while writing the order that it will stay at MSRP and they said yes and wrote that on the order. This is a good dealer in a mid-size market with a very good reputation

 

So far my dealership is still holding up their end of the bargain - 3% off of MSRP - that was agreed upon mid last year and confirmed again last month. I suppose when my car arrives the end of next month, I’ll see if they try to pull a switch-a-roo on me when I ask for the finance documents to take to my lender.

That sounds about par for the course today. They will go down their list in order until they find someone willing to pay the ADM they are asking. In the unlikely chance they make it to the bottom without takers, they will just knock off $5K and start at the top again.

 

I'm sure I jumped a few folks by paying the ADM (being impatient and all)...it's a doggy dog world right now.

 

Well, actually, it s "Dog Eat Dog" world. A Doggy dog world would be a world with a lot of dogs.
