Nice results! Assume left is before - factory map, and right displays performance #s after tune was installed, correct? 😀
Looking forward to installing the tune soon Charles, hopefully by this weekend.
One request, think you guys can attempt to crack the service + oil reset interval with your obd tool? Would be a great addition for the m-engineering obd diagnostic tool since no other vendors have this basic feature available for DIY folks like myself yet.
Left stock, right tuned :P
I've got the service reset/oil interval on our list of future features. No promises or guarantees on that by any means, but it is certainly something we will look at. Right now, you need to use a PIWIS or other diagnostic tool that indy shops may have.

How about having the car default to whatever mode it was last on (Sport, Sport Plus) or at least turn off the super annoying auto start/stop in normal mode. That would really be great.

We can turn off the auto start/stop. If you already have M-Tuner and want this, just shoot us an email over to info@m-engineering.us and we'll get it taken care of.
As far as defaulting to the last mode after a key cycle, I'll add that to our list to look into. Cool idea.
We hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas weekend! It was nice and sunny in Southern Florida here at the new office, perfect weather for driving. Thank you all for the orders and support over the holidays!
One of our great customers shared his before and after dragy results on a Stage 1 flash for a 992 Carrera S and I wanted to repost these. Even at a bit of elevation and poor 91 gas, she did great!

So is one run uphill and the other downhill? And the downhill run at 5000 ft lower DA?

The slope percentages are very minute and small. Yes, a true apples to apples test would have this in an identical location with same or similar DA, but this came directly from our client who performed the testing and sent it to us, we were not the ones performing the test. In the end he was very happy with how it came out and how the car performed on the street after the tuning.
M-Engineering South Florida is OPEN. While we still have some construction dust, the dyno is functional and we are ready to tune some cars. If you are in the South Florida area, and you purchase a brand new M-Tuner from our South Florida facility, we will do before and after dyno runs for FREE. Limited time, by appointment only.
E85 maps are almost ready for release for all 992 Carrera cars! We are excited to have this for current and future M-Tuner owners. Serious power gains for a fraction of the cost of filling up with race gas, E85 is always welcome to party!
NO modifications are required to run ethanol. The factory fuel system can support E85. Just a calibration file and you're good to go.

Question to M engineering:
The ECU of the base Carrera is programmed for less throttle response and shifting speed versus the S, more so in normal than sport.
Sport Chrono closes the gap between the base and the S in terms of ECU tune for throttle response and presumably other parameters and PDK shifting map.
The question is: with the M Engineering ECU tune, setting aside launch control and the sport response button,
does the sport chrono option become less necessary in the C2 base (or for that matter also the S) after the M engineering ECU flash in terms of improved throttle response and in general making the base engine mapping more like the S, or the S more like the GTS?
I don't see that anyone has ever asked this question in this thread, or any other.
Has anyone ever compared the driving characteristics of a 992 Carrera without sport chrono with the ECU flash to a car without the ECU flash with sport chrono?
Thank you.
I have it installed on a C4 Cab and it's great. Read through this entire thread and you'll see many comments from non-S owners, including mine. My next 911 will likely be an S, but this tune filled the performance gap I felt like I was missing not buying the S this time around. MEngineering also sent me a new file removing cold start and the auto start 'features' in an update that I requested a few months after buying the tune, at no charge. Two 'features' that really irked me before are now fixed. I'm a big fan of the M Engineering team. Highly responsive customer service.
I also recently took it in to my dealer for first year service. It took 6 minutes to put stock software back on and then 6 minutes to put the tune back on after I got home.
