Default PCCB On a 911 C4

Am I crazy to add PCCB to a base 911 C4. I have an allocation with a delivery in December. Happy with the HP on the base don’t need the S (keeps me out of trouble). Car will not be tracked.

Build line items are in photos.

Visually the Yellow Calipers will stand out nicely with the GB. If you aren't tracking it, I don't know if it is as useful but I can't comment as never had PCCB. I would get 18 way seats if I had to do my build over again though.

Tried both 18 and 14 way at dealer and the wife and I liked the 14 way but it was close.

I’d personally pass on them even if it was an S model. They also squeak like crazy. They’re superior of course but overkill if not a track junkie. Just my 2 cents.

I would spec PCCB on my bicycle if I could. First option box I’d check.

And they only squeak if you drag them around braking like Grandma. Bed then in and drive them properly and they will not squeak.

I recently bought my first new Porsche. 992 C2. I am so glad I got PCCB’s. They look fantastic. They always look fantastic as they have little to no brake dust (during my usage/experience). They braking is incredible - very linear and consistent and very capable. My only direct comparables, to be honest, are not equivalent and identical cars, but I have had many and nothing I have driven compares. Cleaning is a breeze since they don’t get very dirty from brake dust. I can’t say I can tell that the weight save is noticeable, but they are lighter and unstrung weight. My friends that have driven are impressed as I am, other than the price. For me it was my dream car, so I added almost he day before I locked. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I wouldn’t overthink it. You want them, get them.

Neither does my wife’s Subaru. Would you be cool with Porsche putting those brakes on their cars?

My PCCBs haven’t squeaked at all—didn’t know that was a thing.
