I have a 991 turbo s with PCCB’s and 18 way seats also a 2021 base 992 with steel brakes and 14 way seats.
1. 992 14 ways are the most comfortable seats ever in a 911.
2. Standard steel brakes are phenomenal.
3. PCCBs don’t squeak at all and have great pedal response.
4. oh how I love no brake dust on pccb wheels.
summary is $9k “no brake dust option” worth it to YOU.

If it fits the budget for your build, knock yourself out. The Base has smaller brakes than the S. As a result, the PCCBs on a Base are an even bigger improvement over the standard brakes than they are on the S. Enjoy!

Given your driving expectations, PCCB a waste of money IMO. Use the savings for other options or give to charity.

Yes, get them. I doubt you'll regret it.

Just like the iron rotors, if you daily drive them in town and make a habit of lightly braking into stops, you will get glazing and they will squeak. A couple hard stops and it's gone. I've been DD'ing mine on short trips the last month and got a few squeaks that I had to brake away. Brake late and hard. No squeaks.

I love my PCCB’s but if you are considering tracking it is a very very expensive replacement part. If everyday driving they will last a lifetime and they are amazing.

I have PCCBs on my S and was back-and-forth on them while in configurator phase. One thing I noted was that people who had them liked them and ordered them on multiple cars. Many who said it was a waste of money didn’t have any experience with them.
I like them because they make the car feel more special as I walk up to it and as I drive it (they have a different feel than my experience with standard brakes). When I do suburban school bus duty with the car, I do get some noises but they go away with a hard stop or two. I have only cleaned the wheels with a sponge once in 12 months and 8k miles - just hose off and they are clean. I plan to keep the car 10 years so resale is not a factor.
Put me in the camp with those who have them and would never order a car without them. Let us know your final choice now and update once you get the car to help others.

PCCBs in my view are a solution looking for a problem. If you think brake dust is a problem, then that's a reason to tick the box. Otherwise, the base brakes and the larger S units are more than capable for street use, even if driven aggressively.

I agree the standard brakes are pretty awesome but the PCCB sure are cool. Have you had a 911 with PCCB’s?
