. Hope there is no ADM for you guys but given current market supply and limited availability and allocations unless you're a repeat buyer or have a very good working relationship with a dealer then I'd say it remains a possibility until the car arrives and/or paperwork is done and car is in the new owner's hands/garage. Seen it happen with a buddy of mine for the Cayman GT4 when it came out initially. Ordered car to specs and deposit paid; 3 weeks from delivery when he begins to set up delivery and shipment (he was out of state) dealer sales manager and SA gets evasive and a week later refuse to sell it to him...car subsequently ends up in the hands of another local buyer who paid $5-10k additional over MSRP and agreed price by my buddy. Know this as we actually found the new owner (on RL) and talked who said he was told the original owner refused it at delivery so they sold it to him which was definitely NOT the case. Soured him on the brand for a while..still has not owned a Porsche since then and he's an aficionado as most of us are here on RL.
So IMHO with hot models and short demand; buyers beware as not all dealers are equal and lots of $$/profit seems to be made/avail in the car market these days. Heard even some used cars are getting dealerships up to 25% above normal on cars! Cars going in 2-3 days...tryijn to get my daughter a new used car and found one Thur night that was just right...listed 3 days prior...sold Friday AM by noon! Its just crazy out there it seems!

Hey all, maybe I missed this, but is the lightweight package available in the US? I keep reading about it but don't see it on the configurator.
Driving dynamics are further improved with the Lightweight Design package, which will be available for the first time for the GTS from November 2021. Up to 25 kg will be saved by the lighter carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) full bucket seats, lightweight glass for the side and rear windows, and lightweight battery. The rear seats are also removed. Other performance enhancements include rear-axle steering as standard in this equipment package and additional aerodynamic finishing touches.

EDIT: also ask your SA; they probably have a wheel refinishing shop they already work with that will do this for you at delivery.

Most dealers will also offer that service to you as well. I asked if it would be possible to get the GTS wheels in satin Neodyme. My SA said only what's available in the configurator, but that they have a local partner who could refinish the wheels for me once the car arrives (I already know who they partner with and would just go to them separately as it's cheaper).

Am I the only one who rolls my eyes when I read the argument "at x $ amount for the GTS, you're in GT3 money territory..." ? It's not like most of us can get an allocation for a GT3, hence why the GTS is a great option.

my gts cab is coming to just under 180. yes, i can get a gt3 touring (<3) for that, but it's not a cabrio, and the 180 doesn't consider the ADM which absolutley exists for the gt3t.

Does anyone really believe Porsche marketing the GTS between the S & GT3? It’s obviously the model between the S & Turbo. 🤣
The 4.0 is nothing like the TT engines in the Carrera/Turbo models.

Agreed. As someone who is cross shopping the GTS / TTS / and GT3 myself... I think where the GTS truly hits the sweet spot is if you want backseats, a reasonably compliant suspension for DD, and a manual transmission. Otherwise I think you'd be crazy not to go for a stripper Turbo or a GT3 for not much more money, depending on your priorities.
