Thanks - looking forward to seeing this one
Edit - watched it now. So much of this rings so true; the relative irrelevance of drive mode in a manual, the extra layer around that which a PDK imposes, the ease of using a manual as a daily, etc. Interesting comments about the noise insulating glass, first time I've heard anyone be so dogmatic on that subject. He's doing a real world side-by-side comparison in the same model on the same tyres so you'd have to take it into account.

That is a very cool Carrera -- PTS Brewster Green with silver mirrors and chrome window trim. Very Porsche spec.

That's a Porsche Exclusive/CCX option -- "Mirror painted in deviated color". It's not something you can spec on the configurator. Last I read a few years ago it was $1600. Probably about $2000 now.

Wow that is an expensive option , probably I would get the mirror painted in exterior color for $700 and that chrome window trim looks great in green and I think it will look good on chalk, agate and black

Janko has great videos and IMHO is a very under-rated car "youtuber".

Hi aggie57,
The worth of noise cancelling glass is, for me, still up for debate because sound is a very subjective experience. Janko should have provided empirical data by doing what Harry, from Harry's Garage, did in his 992 videos and showed the decibel levels, with and without the special glass, on his smart phone. That would have clinched it for me.

Wait...did he he test 911-s on snowy roads? Huh? I saw a couple of scenes shot on dry roads but they seemed like file footage.
I perused so maybe I missed him doing legitimate testing?

It’s hard to get a quality comparison in those conditions 😳
