Love this color, the car and everything about it! Both pictures taken at the same time in the same spot. The color is so different based on how the light hits it.

Looks awesome! Representin Porsha in motor city. U don’t happen to work in either Dearborn, Auburn Hills, or Farmington Hills/Detroit?

Edit: Ha, never mind Motor city comment and question. I forgot about LSU Tiger. I should have asked u about where to get the best gumbo instead, ha.

Was your T in a flood? Just kidding. First pic looks pretty messy. New side skirts look great. Ha, I have limited tools /no jack. Exhaust looks pretty simple DIY bolt-on. U think I could replace both side skirts and exhaust with T on the ground? Back in the day, my cousin and I replaced a full HKS exhaust from front engine back while on the ground. I know a jack is cheap but I absolutely have no more space in my small garage to store anything after snow blower, 2 mountain bikes, shovels, ladders, etc. etc.

It's actually easiest to install these skirts with the car on the ground. A jack gets in the way because of where the jack points are. In stock form these cars are high enough off the ground to see what you're doing.

Awesome. What about the exhaust? Ha, just ran into another 911 (it was a turbo) with exhaust about an hour ago. Streets are empty tonight. I think lots of people out of town. We were pushing it. I had to turn home but he must have been close to doing 100…I was 55 of course I’m starting to look more seriously online at exhaust options

@jonbek there are two threads on aftermarket shift *****. I just ordered one for my Cayman. You can get them in 3 different weights.

Thanks for your long story. But why not Gentian blue with yellow stitching? By far one of the top Porsche combos on the market. That would be a killer spec.
When I post pictures of my Leipzig factory delivery next month, I will warn you to cover up before viewing my pictures.

I don't disagree - and I've seen a Gentian Blue w/extended stitching in yellow in person before too - it works. But I just wasn't feeling it enough - yellow would probably be my top choice with a black car but with a blue car it might only be my third choice color for stitching. So I wasn't inclined to go for that w/this car. I just decided to go basic - no regrets. If I ever decide to get another new 911 it will have to be PTS Oak Green w/extended stitching in Mamba Green. I will pass on any future allocation that cannot get PTS - I let it go this time because I would rather have a blue 911 than no 911.

Priority over what or whom? And how would I know how or why Porsche makes decisions?

Cool - maybe you & @arrivederci & I can meet up at Rennsport Reunion. Anyone else going? I'll be flying out to CA from MD just a couple weeks after returning from my ED trip, so of course I won't have my T back in the States at that time. That said, even if I had enough vacation time left and I had my T available in time, I admit I would not be up for driving across the entire continent twice.

Did I misread the fact that you got Bose??
Might have escaped your attention but that makes you the only person on this thread that got Bose!
Pretty weird right?!
What makes you so special is my question.
Don’t bother replying if you don’t know the reason.

After weeks of enviously watching all the beautiful T deliveries here, I've finally gotten mine! I think it's the second T in Austin, Texas.

Having had a 997.2, 986 S 550 Spyder Edition, and most recently, a Taycan 4S, the best thing about the 992 is its familiarity. A modern iPhone or Android user can immediately see a connection back to an iPhone (2008) or Nexus One (2010), respectively. And ditto for this 992 T, which feels like a 991 but much much more modern than the 997.2 I had. It has the same infotainment and creature comforts as the Taycan but with the tactile and auditory feedback of a 911 -- exactly what I was looking for! So besides the bath I took on my Taycan trade-in, the 992 has been wonderful! Well, at least for the drive from the dealership back to my home, where it'll stay until my appointment at XPEL in 10 days!

This car is 99.9% perfect. See if you can spot the 0.01% below. 😉

I consider myself a "Deviated stitching enthusiast" now. 😁 The car came with 16 miles, presumably from factory testing, going around the Emden port, and PDI road test at the dealership.

Shark blue interior inlays and Shark Blue seat belts mostly match the Speed Blue stitching:

I suspect my car was built late on a Friday afternoon:
