So there we have it, after all the web time, forum searching, spec head scratching mine has arrived. First impression is one of disbelief that I’ve finally got here. To drive it is everything I’d hoped for, yes I can see why some might find the MT tricky, but it’s new, and 7th gear throws a strange feeling when coming down the gearbox. As someone else said, with the lever sprung between 3rd & 4th it sometimes doesn’t feel natural, but it is just a case of getting used to it, because the weighting and quality of shift is lovely. The other big subject for debate on here is the sound system. Yes I was disappointed not to be able to get Bose, and no doubt it isn’t as good as I’m used to, but I think this can be sorted with after market items. My advice, leave the stereo off and soak in that lovely flat 6 sound track, simply awesome. This is my daily driver, so hopefully be putting on some miles and will have further comments. All I can hope for, is that all of you out there waiting, you get yours soon too, definitely worth every day in coming.

Wow - beautiful!!
So can we add you to the aftermarket sound upgrade group?
Being a daily drive like mine means periods of time stuck in slow moving / stationary traffic with no engine noise!

Definitely. Sorry was going to speak to CEN in Nottingham today, but turned into a train wreck losing a couple of hours with toy collection. I’ll try and get to them tomorrow.

Indeed. No waxing for me yet, in fact stopped the dealer from doing anything but a wash as ceramic coating outside and protection inside starts tomorrow.

On 5/5 when my car had reached Emden, my dealer expected the same - on a ship on 5/12 arriving in Houston 6/2. Just a few days away and we will see if we get an IMO # or not.

The other one is the hard plastic/metallic “click” I hear when going back from 5th to neutral (shift center). It hits the shaft or something. If you don’t let go your hand and grab firmly you will not notice it. Only when you push it down out of its shaft. Not a big issue, but wanted to know if you have that as well. It just feels a bit less premium. As if it’s missing a rubber. It’s not the “skip/jump issue” that was mentioned by The911Don right? I cannot remember having this on the 991.2 MT. If necessary I can make a video.
Actually, I did reply, but also, I couldn't check it on mine because I haven't had my car back since.
The last info was that it leaves the PPF guy on Thursday and ceramic and interior preparation will start on Friday. As ECNJ said, I am getting separation anxiety

BTW, that looks badass. Kinda regretting not going green/aero.
My SA told me aerokit was not available for the T. This was in March, checked with him again in April before the build locked, same response, not available on the T until later this year,

Maybe because you are used to normal length gear levers? So the lever arm is bigger and you don't need that much force. Also, the 6 speed in the Cayman is a little "looser" (which I don't like, but hey, de gustibus).
The T has the shorter lever, the forces required to use it are a little bigger and it feels very mechanical and stiff too. I have no issue with the gearbox, feeling or gear selection. On the contrary, I find it quite good. Might need time to loosen up a little...but hopefully, not much.
You might want to ask the dealership to check yours out. I haven't seen anyone else to complain about it. The might loosen it up for you, making it similar with the one from the Cayman. The is also the normal length gear lever...that one also could help in your search for a similar feel.

Before driving it, I have read all kinds of opinions or people complaining about it and about that exotic 7 gear, etc. I jumped in, got going and after 2 minutes I was actively going 4-5-6-7 on the autobahn. And back, to keep it around 120-130 but also, trying to use all gears that let me stay under 4000 rpm. Felt home in a jiffy.
It might be because I grew up driving only manual gearboxes, to which the one from the T is light years away. Went from 4 speed gearboxes to 5..then 6. Now I have one with 7.

And, to be honest...If I have to try twice to change 3-2, like in this video, I would be pretty disappointed and would hate the gearbox.
