i find it so weird that the T is being nominated by various publications and not the S or the GTS. I mean, most people on this forum who don't own a T think it's such an underpowered parts bin exercise for people who can't afford the S or GTS...

Shhh… don’t draw any more attention than already has been. 😂 Meanwhile the T waitlist at my dealer only continues to lengthen and I have been informed at this point, not everyone will get one. What good press does.

I find it odd when people say "can't afford an S, GTS...". I mean, you are already spending 130-150k so 10k-20k loan/financing/savings are unlikely to force you into personal bankruptcy. I would understand if you are comparing against a 300k car

TIA,
Available online. Likely early Wednesday morning. I get digital and print. Something about a physical publication appeals to me.

Realistically, how many individuals are financing these, especially at the current rate? From my understanding the vast majority of U.S. 911 purchasers pay via cash.

For me personally, if I could have got an S allocation in a timely manner then that is what I would have coming. An S allocation is unattainable locally for years.

Edit: BTW, I am thrilled to have landed a T allocation as well as to have ordered Shark Blue prior to it going NLA in mid-March. Still getting the analog tach prior to the 992.2 going all digital LCD and the unknown possibility of the manual disappearing on dot twos due to mild hybridization.

We Americans also buy real estate cash. Many of us can afford any car…cash. T is a choice!

As an American, 100%! Zero debit is always the most ideal situation. I was raised if you do not have the actual cash to purchase something then you should not purchase it at all.

I imagine 70%+ of T owners have spent more on their cars than a basic S would have cost.

For some of us it was about timing not money. My little dealer in Maine had orders for just about every other model so I knew I would be waiting a long time. Luckily someone backed out of their T allocation and it was offered to me. Once I get some time in it I may get on a list for another model, we'll see. I was also able to be first on the list for an ST but they wouldn't commit to an ADM so I declined. I think if many of us T people thought we could get an S or GTS allocation within 6-12 months we would have, nevertheless I am looking forward to my T.

I must say, this whole My Porsche thing is very frustrating and doesn’t reflect well on Porsche.
A few days ago I received my Development of Your Porsche email.
It invited me to link in the build of my T to My Porsche.
Yet when I enter my commission number, it cannot identify it.
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I don’t think so.
My OPC say they can’t help me with this.
Not to mention the issues people here have had with finding their production photos.
For a supposedly tech forward company, it’s all pretty poor.

Not me. Zero interest in base, S or GTS. I'm sure I'm not alone.

It's not you, it's the app. The most sane thing you can do is forget about it and rely on the dates your SA gives you. Take it from those of us who've been there already.

Not me, I wanted a T from the outset. As far as I know in the UK an S or GTS wouldn’t take any longer.
But, I didn’t really look into it deeply. I was attracted to the T over both those models.

I'm glad I went the T route as well, I was generalizing that if availability for allocations was equal some would have gone with another option. Back to the original point, for many it isn't a money issue.
