Ok, FAL.
I have it.
The rural lanes around my house in Devon, the speed bumps in London and getting on and off ferries, make it a reassuring option,
I am sure it adds weight, but it’s at the front.
These new 992 water cooled 911 things are unfamiliar territory for me, but I seem to remember most of the weight being at the back
I realize most will know this, but maybe there are some who don't. When the 991.2 T was released, it was standard without radio, screen, speakers, etc. Available to add back in at NC. But quickly required by USA mandate for the rear camera. (I believe some early 2018 GT3s made it in without and it was quickly blocked.). We had many discussions about the stated weights (which were always sans electronics) beyond just the standard RAS discussions.
This is what blows my mind. Instead of delete for reduced price they have some how convinced people to accept this add back for NC.

Also, Evo VII and later were based on a larger and heavier model/platform (Cedia) than before. Same with the WRC kit cars. You can actually say that the real Evo died with the Evo VI.
Oh nice you know your WRC. When we argue about this on the evo forums I agree with you, the last real evo was the 6. The WRC rule changes didn't mean the street car got less crazy though. The FQ400 is pretty wild for an early 2000's car you could buy with a warranty.
Just for context that was 400hp out of a 2.0L motor back in 2005.
Not exceptions; your generalization is off. I’ve been involved with Porsche in the USA for 25+ years. Most 911 owners here appreciate and prefer its understated look.
I wasn't referring specifically to Porsche owners or people, but rather national character where the English are seen as being more introverted and reserved, whereas the Americans are seen as more extrovert generally against the Brits.
so, is anyone putting winter tires on their T? I am starting to think about ordering a wheel and tire set although it may be too late given availability in years past. Not sure what are some good solutions beyond the OEM carrera winter set.
I mounted a set of Goodyear UltraGrip (they are Porsche approved) from Tirerack on the OEM rims for this winter. About $1800 after rebate. Good so far on cold morning ride.
The Green T is visiting a friend for the winter, graciously making room for the GT500. It had a nice send-off weekend. Lots of attention at this morning's Cars and Coffee.
Sleep well, my friend.
Should've taken pics of mine today as it also has a nice place to rest when nasty weather arrives. It has been replaced for a few months by an old audi urq and F80 M3 - both manual trans and both wearing snow tires. I laughed earlier today when I realized it is kept company by a few air cooled classics. Soon to be joined by an R1250gsa - another german horizontally opposed powerplant.
I just love the power delivery and the feeling you can really use all the revs on public roads without going to jail. At no point do I wish it had more power and it never feels inadequate. Makes the GTS, Turbo etc feel like pure overkill and a waste. Now I've started to get used to the 7 speed Manual I really like it and find the seventh gear very useful for relaxed and economical 80-90 mph cruising on Motorways.
I'd have choses rear seats if my kids were still at an age where they could fit in them but without them I really appreciate the extra stowage space.

Very true, as an introverted Brit, I aim to have the most 'under the radar' mint green 911 in south west England
There seems to be no rhyme or reason about what's going on at Emden. My car was there for less than 24 hours, and others for months at a time. It's very bizarre.

Might be as simple as they won’t leave till they fill a boat?
