Since no 992 documents have been posted; it's speculative why there has been a delay. However, with other MY21 Porsche models it has not been the EPA.
Anyway appears almost over for both 992 and 982 4.0Ls -- which is the important piece; why this has all happened doesn't matter and wouldn't have changed my decision.

You can see all the updates/revisions also on the EPA site. Some models/engines do have a couple of revisions that have taken a couple of weeks to sort out. Still initial application to final approval is within 3 weeks.

Sounds like nothing but speculation so far. At best there are 'hints' that EPA certification coming at the end of this week but nothing definitive. Suspect Porsche is reluctant to make any statements on status because outcome is always in question until final approval is in hand. In other words, it ain't over 'til it's over.....

I was thinking about the people who have 992s on order and don't read Rennlist (are there any?)
If so, do you think TYD might be confusing? Here's how my TYD currently reads:
9/18 "on vessel"
11/10 "entering port" Comment: 2 months?, The Skipper and Gilligan would have gotten there sooner.
11/10 "entry port/port processing/ Comment: Got it done fast; had to make up for the 2 month transatlantic voyage
10/16 " en route to Porsche Center" Comment: Now wait a minute, at port on 11/10, but on the way to dealer on 10/16? They reversed time!
11/20 "arrival at Porsche center" Comment: one month drive from Davisville to NJ? Truck driver must be the same guy who commanded the RoRo.
Hope non-Rennlist readers aren't confused by TYD. The rest of us can only "duh"....
and wait

My TYD has been pretty accurate so far but I still ask my SA for a system screen print to verify.

It still boggles my mind that Porsche, a company chock full of perfectionists on both sides of the Atlantic, puts up with this. I'm not certain whether this is the US Government's fault or the manufacturer, but let it not be said that the Volkswagen Group doesn't have the resources to fix this. Few buyers of new Porsches don't know how to run a business (unless they won the lottery I guess); business owners are constantly seeking ways to improve cash flow and efficiencies. So it's a mystery to me why this hasn't been aggressively tackled at a very senior level.
I noticed that the SUV's have by and large already been waved through the EPA certification process. Are 911s just halo products which look good on magazine covers but no longer contribute to cash flow or margins in sufficient numbers to make them a priority? If so, that really does underscore where the auto industry is going.

Is there no argument that this situation builds their brand? One angle being Porsches are desirable, elusive and if passionate enthusiasts who placed deposits way in advance don’t get their 992’s on time they freak. I get that it doesn’t build goodwill with this group, but this group is a minor subset, albeit influential. I’m not saying this is their plan. But I’d bet cash coming in is far and away their primary focus and more than adequate motivation. The other thing is I had an import business. Things get complicated. I make few assumptions about what’s going on.
While I feel everybody's pain and frustration I will say that American buyers have very high expectations. Most buyers outside of the US would have seen this more as just the cost of doing business and have more of a C'est La Vie attitude - hence the success of siesta in Europe. I am sure that how ever much slack they are getting from us they are getting even more from their dealers who have rents to pay and salaries to pay. Hoping for an end to all of this soon for all of you

Blah blah blah blah, Porsche screwed the pooch and the consumer is left to suffer.
