I’m disappointed about the pushback, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised at this pint with all the date changes. I am curious what happened that had some reputable dealers calling their customers yesterday saying the cars got released. Seems like these dealers would have had something to go off of to make these calls. I would like to hear why they thought things were a go. Not mad at them, just wanting to know their reasoning. When I talked to my SA yesterday he said he hadn’t heard anything, and today he confirmed his system says 11/20.

Mine was a July 20th build.

Not sure if they ran MY20/21 simultaneously that week though.

My car started production on 7/15, finished on 7/22 so it seems they were building both 20 and 21 models that week. I had an 8/28 delivery to dealer.

So what do the SAs that said EPA was lifted have to say about this 11/20 date?

Would love to have anyone who got that message directly from their SA (in particular, Atlanta/Hennessy) follow-up and get an answer to that.

So far, that it’s nothing more than Porsche covering their a$$, still being told the cars could easily be here by end of week to early next. Essentially being told the app is, as I’ve figured since day one, utter BS.

Something has actually changed a bit in my TYD. The last two points are "En Route to Porsche Center" followed by "Arriving Porsche Center". Up until yesterday evening both of these points have always been the same date. Ex: 10/30 & 10/30, 11/06 & 11/06, and 11/13 & 11/13.

What's changed is that the "En Route to Porsche Center" has stayed at 11/13. No change in that date for over a week now. What did change is the "Arriving Porsche Center" date, which went from 11/13 yesterday morning/day to 11/20 yesterday evening.

I'm wondering if the old tag line for Certs: "It's a Breathe Mint, No it's a Candy Mint" might be accurate here. By that I mean maybe the dealers that are telling some of us that the 911's will be released on 11/13 are correct and that those that say they won't have our 911 on or before the 13th are also correct. Becuase Porsche will begin shipping the cars to the dealers starting on the 13th but they'll not all (there's a lot of them at this point) reach the dealers until sometime after the 13th.

Just a thought, trying real hard to look for a positive way of looking at this.

My “en route” still says 10/23, even after my date changes, so I wouldn’t read too much into that.

So they are holding strong the EPA hold has been lifted?

Below is some data that was in an email forwarded to me from my SA here in Southern Cali that he'd received from the Regional Manager of PCNA last night:
  • MY21 992s PoS FED anticipated this week, CARB PoS pushed back another week (now 11/20)
  • MY21 982 (incl GTS 4.0, GT4, Spyder) FED anticipated this week, CARB anticipated next week (11/20) instead of 12/02.

Thanks - hope that means something concrete. They've been "anticipating" EPA certification for weeks/months. Would really be nice to know what they actually base these statements on, but we'll never know that.

Enroute is just a factious date. My Enroute date went from 11/3 to 9/4. Delivery to 11/20 and I don't live in a CARB state.

In other words, TYD is entirely useless, especially for any forward-looking date projections.

Exactly....after weeks of false predictions I’m glad we are all catching on...
