id look into either waiting for next year to order or moving to a used FF or lusso for a daily.
in Illinois deposits are refundable

Three Wheelin'
I'm not giving up my car because Miami Blue is no longer available :-)
It would seem, given that other manufacturers have 2021s released, it is Porsche's issue. I wonder if the "internal investigation" of earlier engines has caused any reticence on the part of the US gov't?

I’d caution against assessing blame in the abstract, however likely things might seem, here in the year of the unlikely. I certainly get your frustration.
Ok, just placed my order, it’s showing a DD of 2/18/21. Which means I could get mine before many of you get yours. Just joking! I know… Not funny. Sorry.

I guess the fact that it is the entire Porsche lineup that s being held up makes it more likely that it was purely an administrative issue with Porsche and not a real issue with the cars and especially not an issue with the 992.
A Macan, Boxster GT4 and 992 have almost zero connection to each other. Hey the Macan base does not even use a Porsche engine. Hopefully the paperwork for all is now filed and the next available release date is 11/6
Hey it sounds good and that is what I am going with

SA gave me delivery date of 11/13 -- guess that's a week to get from Baltimore to the dealership. Thought about canceling like others here but to cancel now just to get in another queue for a car I would spec the same way doesn't make sense to me. At that point I would push all the way to a 992.2.
I'm doubly frustrated having already given them my trade-in last month when the delivery date was 10/9 (delayed from 9/4). I've asked what they can do on a set of winter wheels and told them my expectation is a very sharp pencil. I'm not holding my breath...

Otherwise car will arrive when it does. A month of two compared to years of ownership is a small price to pay...at least for me, Others less patient it seems...but canceling an ordered car just cause of a delay of a few weeks just isn't worth the squeeze guys for me personally especially as this is due to something beyond all of our control! Bytchin about it PCNA or my dealership ain't gonna fix it now if it hasn't already...so let the system take its course now and they''l get me my car when ready/able....may ask for something advantageous if delayed too long but they don't guarantee a delivery date last I heard/recall when car is built to order from a customer...my SA was clear on that point and that the timetable could flex so I am good. Knew it when signed the paperwork and put my deposit down. My 2 cents...wish all their cars soon tho!

Honestly, I've surprised myself with how patient I've been. I mentally prepared myself once I heard of a potential hold-up because I've seen this so many times with other cars. Not even remotely news-worthy yet.
i do feel bad for those that live in a colder climate and aren't able to enjoy their car during the winter. Just another reason to live somewhere warmer!
