From an EPA and CARB standpoint Taycan's should be fine. Here is the CARB page for all MY 2021 vehicles that have been approved and you'll see that the 3rd Porsche link shows that all versions of the Taycan have been certified: https://ww3.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad.../2021/2021.php.

Very encouraging data points, although mine is still showing 12/4 at the dealer, so who knows :-)

If you have a temporary tag I would drive on it until it expires and stay away from the DMV until CARB is certified. I also think if they close down again which they might your temp tag will be extended possibly even into the spring. Get to keep your tax dollars a little longer !!!!!

My TYD updated today. Previously showed Arrival at Porsche Dealer on 12/4 and now shows 12/11. Keeping with the Friday theme but hopefully is accurate this time.

I noticed tonight on AutoTrader that several California Porsche dealers started advertising 2021 inventory that must be coming in soon. Mostly Turbo S's and Targa 4S's. I think that's a positive sign.

Same here. And the actual date of milestone completion for Port Processing is today 12/7.

My TYD says the same.. thinking optimistically, maybe CARB was approved today and it's giving a 3 day window for transport. I'm not getting my hopes up though. I guess we'll see in the next few days.

SA just texted that he just got word they received CARB approval! Says cars will be shipping as early as tomorrow. Seems it is legit this time. No mention of any maintenance plan as of yet.

Default Updated - delivery 12/11

My TYD just updated to show port processing at Davisville actually complete 12/7 with transport to dealer 12/4(!) and estimated arrival 12/11 at dealer in CT.

Previously, TYD showed port processing actually complete 11/23.

When I was waiting for EPA certification, TYD had "Port Processing Complete" as current milestone but an estimated date shown. As soon (same day) as EPA certification was granted TYD changed the Port Processing Complete date to that date (Nov 12) and showed it now as actual date. Subsequent milestones (in transit and arrived at dealership) were then pushed out to the following Friday. This all sounds the same and that CARB certification was actually granted on 12/7.

FYI - with mine, TYD from here on out was entirely useless. It didn't change to "en route" until after the car arrived at the dealership. Your dealer should receive an email from the port processing group when your car is on a truck - according to my sales manager that's standard practice and he's always given me that heads up as soon as he receives it. And even with some backlog due to EPA delay, mine was to the dealer (600 miles from port in Baltimore) 5 days after certification.

Hope this is all true and that you all will be enjoying your new cars within a few days!
