Porsche uses enclosed trailers. Unless you have X-Ray Vision and/or can personally visit the loading point at the port; watching for traditional 18 wheel car carriers loaded with 911's will net zero sightings.

Has anyone asked their dealer if the PSVM system has shown any changes? Like from "administrative hold" to "released for transport"?

All delivered to my dealer are enclosed; not sure it’s exclusive but mostly by Reliable.

Was at a Toys n Tots Saturday and they were delivering couple 718s, but guy also had an older Turbo Supra in there.

As of Saturday the 5th, my dealer's PSVM was showing my car as having been "estimated" to have been delivered the day before on Friday the 4th.

It would seem that a dealer's PSVM system has been "adjusted" so that it is now just as unreliable as TYD.

Someone on the 718 side is reporting a call from their SA with date moved back to 12/18.

I know when EPA was passed, PCNA sent an email to all the dealers that morning. I expect the same thing to happen with CARB release. Unless the dealers can show you an email from PCNA saying the cars are released, then these are just rumors.

My SA emailed this morning, saying there is no new news, and they wait for an update from PCNA. FYI.

It’s only 8:00 in California. I wouldn’t expect much action until 9:00 at best.

This is our first Porsche. Making the leap from Audi to Porsche. We ordered our 992 in April as a 2020, Covid hit and pushed us into model year 2021 which was fine. All good until vehicle hit the Port in 10/22/20. Has been there since. In any case, as per the posts on this forum, extremely disappointed in communications from dealer. Appreciate the information given by all, at least we now know whats going on.

. My Dates and ordering situation is identical to yours. Kind of dulled the shine off the whole experience hasn’t it.

Try to remain calm....it will all be much better after delivery - given the delays in all industries this isn't much to worry over...i learned my car was off loaded at Davisville Rhode Island just before a few inches of snow came down

seems puzzling that Porsche would have “paid” for extended maintenance costs that won’t begin to be incurred (by owners or dealers for at least a year or so (or closer to 2 years, perhaps).

don’t think strange land meant literally paid. His point was that since Porsche has reportedly offered additional paid maintenance to owners stranded at the ports, the poster shouldn’t be asked to purchase it by his dealer.

Make sense?

Yes, Porsche has apparently committed to providing the "+1" service package to anyone waiting >30 days, and "+2" package if waiting > 60 days. They don't actually pay for anything until the service is done, and the performing dealership is then paid. The package is transferable (at least it is when you purchase it yourself), and the +2 package costs about $2,450.

fair enough- certainly *could* make sense - not at all clear what the poster actual meant.

moreover, until there is official PCNA commitment and terms for PSMP+ extension, it’s all speculation.
