Ironic that I received the CoverKing car cover that I ordered back in September, and yet the car is sitting exposed to the elements for over 2 months in Davisville.

My dealer on Long Island, NY called me on Friday to upsell me all the after-market add-ons and service options and said my car will likely be at the dealer sometime this week. That was the first time they’ve contacted me while I’ve been waiting for months. Clearly they’ve got some new info indicating they’re being let loose.

They should be asking what you want for free for your inconvenience. I will be for sure...Over three months sitting at port...eight months overall...

I was lucky - I ordered this one in July, it was built in September, so only sitting in the port since mid-late October.

I bought the Boxster S the first year of the new shape a number of yrs ago and they held it at the port for a few months to release the new model ‘all at once’ in the U.S. Was very frustrating, also zero communications from PCNA. Porsche is not known for their bedside manner and/or stellar customer service.

I don't have a cover, but 4 Victor Baden wheels and snows sitting around that I had anticipated installing in warmer weather...say October. If we do get releases this week at least Saturday in upstate NY looks like I won't freeze mid way through the installation. The 19" on my 991.2 C4 were heavy enough, not looking forward to the 11.5x 20's.

I really have to believe that there was some material damage to the car. I am thinking that an aggressive discount and a very extended warranty in the order of 6 years is something you should be looking at. It is crazy and the fact that you have heard nothing is beyond infuriating

My central Jersey SA texted me that they are expecting to hear something on Monday. He is very upfront and my car is still on the boat and so there would be no reason for him to string me along. I wonder if they were told that because of the number of false starts that they should not be specific but that the odds favor a early next week release. Based on that "famous email" from Carb I am still betting for the. 14th but for all of you waiting I hope I am wrong

Dealers have already been paid by Porsche for extended maintenance if your car sat in port for more than 30 days. Don’t let them sell you something Porsche already paid them.
