2021 Delivery Date?

Word on the street is that Porsche is going to provide PSMP +1 for those with cars sitting in port up to 60 days and PSMP +2 for those sitting longer than 60 days. Doesn’t get us our cars any sooner but if true, it’s something. Scheduled maintenance visits aren’t cheap.

I just took delivery a few weeks ago of a 992 and the PSMP +2 package cost was $2,445.

Somewhat encouraging news -- my late August port arrival C2S was finally delivered to the dealership today. Dealership is in a non-Carb state, but SA said they will be in touch with me tomorrow for paperwork (I am in CARB state). I can also confirm Ryandarr1979's input that it appears that PCNA is at least considering PSMP for those of us who have been in purgatory. My SA was very careful not to "overpromise" (his words) but said that he was optimistic that they would provide consideration given the circumstances. Might be good for those of us who have dealt with this since late August to start to push for the same thing -- strength in numbers....

My TYD also just went from -- Days with a 11/20/20 Delivery Date to now a 3 Days and 12/04/2020 Delivery Date.
Not like this sort of thing has happened previously. But Brandguy's news is probably the best indication of a light being at the end of the tunnel I've seen in quite awhile.
If dgtarga is correct about the $2,445, I'd just as soon take the money as I do my own oil and filter changes. In any case, I do think PCNA owes us all something. If you're Porsche you have got to realize that you have a LOT of dissatisfied customers who are probably telling a LOT MORE potential customers a fairly ugly story. It'd be in Porsche's best interest to give that ugly story a happy ending. As in, "It was awful . . . but look what they did for me, to compensate me for my loyalty to Porsche!" So my line with my dealer will reflect this in as much as I'll make a point of asking them, "What sort of a story do you want me to tell all my friends? Your potential future customers."

The dealer in San Diego said they are expecting 12/4 still. I probed about getting the car released sooner (because it will be going to and registered in a non-CARB state) and he said no dice. I was under the impression that somebody had already received a 2021 car that was shipped through the port in San Diego but went to a non-CARB state.
He said he’s anxious as they have around 15 “sold” cars sitting there. That sounded like a relatively small number to me as some have been there for over three months, but I assume they have a bunch of dealer-spec’d cars as well that they’d like to get on the lot.
So the wait continues :-)

Have you (or anyone else) previously had a status of "port processing completed?" That seems like an important step. On the Porsche management system, my car's status has never got past "port handling - administrative hold," which was due to the active blocks for the CARB certification.

My DD was just delayed from 2/2 to 2/5. My SA who worked in Germany and seems to have a good network there says Porsche’s assembly is firing on all cylinders but they are increasingly encountering delays receiving parts/components from suppliers such that I should anticipate further delays.

My car arrived in Houston 10/1, port processing complete on 10/7 . . . . and I wait. TYD says 12/4 with 3 days to go but I very much doubt that my car arrives this week.
