p.s as an easter egg, in addition to the keyfob you can also 'comfort close' the sunroof and windows (and likely the convertible top) using the indent on the door handle. I find touching (and holding) the indent on the handle for a few seconds will activate the function. enjoy.
Thanks for the discovery 👍. I will be coding a Targa tomorrow and will code the top to open/close with keyfob. On the 991, you have to add a 4th key to the remote to get this to work.

Thank you, got it figured out!

The windows open and close with the key fob worked. I think I coded it first and then went into the PCM and enabled the option.
Thank you! I hadn't activated it in the PCM. You can choose between the windows and sunroof or sunroof only.
Here's a photos for reference on the PCM6

I could not make the Targa top to open/close with the keyfob. Windows open and close with the keyfob I wonder if we need a 4th button on the keyfob to make it work like the 991. Did you code the option in the PCM menu or were those available before coding?

These appeared after coding. I don't recall seeing them there earlier.

I recall seeing in another post that you do need another type of keyfob for opening/closing the targa top via key fob, sounded like it was a non-US spec keyfob.

I would advise just to buy the smarttop. It does all this and you can set it to one touch open and close instead of having to hold down/up the button.

May go against the whole coding idea but it's probably cheaper than getting a new a key fob with the extra button. GB going on now as well.

It's worth a shot. We did it on 991. https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1306...l#post18812775

+1 for SmartTop. It also makes the buttons on the center console for top and windscreen one-touch (and more)

This is what the OP bought to make it work on his 991.

For folks that coded matrix led lights, did you need a power supply or can you get away without it? This is a relatively new, healthy battery on a daily driven 911.
I understand I should have a power supply, but my other basic coding sessions or Windows opening with keyfob, activating rear light bar DRL, changing steering sensitivity were relatively quick took only a couple of minutes all up with changes taking maybe 30 seconds to write at most (no auto coding).

I ordered this
one one
. Works on both AGM and Lithium battery. There are cheaper options in this thread. You don't want to code without a battery charger.

Thank you! I recall a Powemax recommendation from @siberian too and had my eye on one. Can you plug this in to a normal 10A household outlet or does it need a higher 20A dryer outlet?
